had on tap at haymarket. Poured into a stange with a pale straw color and small head.

very balanced and nuanced aromas of grains, wheat, and malt aromas. Very good depth as well

lighter bodied with a really good feel and excellent flavors of grains, wheat, malts and a touch of hops

This was an extremely good pilsner. Very good depth of flavor and feel with good aromas as well

The Speakerswagon Pils is a good solid beer. It poured a clear golden color with a white head that sticks around for awhile and laced slightly. The Saaz hops was present and there was a slight citrus(lemon). The taste is typical of most Pils with the Saaz hops generating most the buzz...balanced by malt. The mouthfeel was light bodied and very smooth. Overall a decent Pils and good for sessions.

Pale gold, ultra bright clarity. Delicate crown of intricate lacing rings the inside of the glass. Initial finger of foam dwindles to a wispy skim after ten minutes.

Nondescript husky grain aroma, clean pilsner malt.

Firm grassy noble hop bitterness from the Saaz hops, crisp and clean, simple crackery malt flavor. Light herbal tea flavor from the hops, dry bitter finish with a pleasant hint of honey. Crisp easy drinking lager with a good streak of hop flavor. Pairs with any food easily. Simplicity is underrated.

Great brewpub. Dig the attention to historical detail and the quantity of beers as well as their names and stories. Surprised at how swanky the place seemed though.

A: Clear straw golden to pale. Poor head retention and no lacing.

S: Hoppy dry aroma with notes of grain.

T: Bitter, I liked it alot. Much hoppier than your standard pils, had a good clean finish. Lots of bite.

M: Hoppyness let it hang out on the tongue and pockets of the mouth.

D: Awesome beer! Light enough to go back for a second for sure.

Served at the brewpub.

For the second straight year, a friend's bachelor party has afforded me the opportunity to hit up some new beer spots. First up is Haymarket, complete with this here pils. It pours a clear brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises light grass and straw. Not much going on here, really. The taste holds notes of grass, flowers, very light lemon rind, and light wheat. This is a nice response to the fairly weak smell. The body is a hefty-feeling light, with a light moderate carbonation and a crisp finish. Overall, a nice little pils, nothing really outstanding, but a fitting beer to start things off and/or enjoy whilst the weather continues to hammer us with heat and whatnot.
