This is an excellent, full-bodied Czech-style pilsner, with a complex, full-bodied and excellent interpretation of a classic Czech character.

Gold, it has a medium white head slowly shrinking to a thin lasting top, leaving a little lace.

Aroma is a classic Czech or German character with strong herbs dominating a mix of apple, lemon, and grain.

Taste is similar, an excellent herbal hop character dominating with a zesty/zingy light bitterness, including some minty element, along with apple, grain, hint of bread and lemon, and a long mixed herb-grain aftertaste.

Great brewpub. Dig the attention to historical detail and the quantity of beers as well as their names and stories. Surprised at how swanky the place seemed though.

A: Clear straw golden to pale. Poor head retention and no lacing.

S: Hoppy dry aroma with notes of grain.

T: Bitter, I liked it alot. Much hoppier than your standard pils, had a good clean finish. Lots of bite.

M: Hoppyness let it hang out on the tongue and pockets of the mouth.

D: Awesome beer! Light enough to go back for a second for sure.

one of the better American made pilseners ive had. this pours clear and radiantly glowing sunshine yellow, glassy and smooth, with obvious strong carbonation and a half inch of pure white lace. the nose is very fresh grains, on the lighter side, quintessentially Czech, with a light toast on some of them. hops are bittering only, but with an American flare. the flavor is clean and bright, an all day beer, listed on the menu at 5% abv rather than the 5.8% stated here. must be some slight variation over time. I love the malts in this beer, impossibly fresh, as well as refreshing, and satisfying at the same time, still feels like a beer. gorgeous carbonation, crisp finish, pure satisfaction. this went great with my sweet potato tater tots, and probably just about anything else on the food menu at haymarket. quality stuff right here.

had on tap at haymarket. Poured into a stange with a pale straw color and small head.

very balanced and nuanced aromas of grains, wheat, and malt aromas. Very good depth as well

lighter bodied with a really good feel and excellent flavors of grains, wheat, malts and a touch of hops

This was an extremely good pilsner. Very good depth of flavor and feel with good aromas as well
