The Haymarket Brewery located near the Loop of Chicago was good place to visit. The bar area was large with many TVs to watch your favorite Chicago team. Plently of tables and high tops along with a lengthy bar with numerous seats. The quality of the beer was great. The server we had was not very good. He didnt really know beer and was kind of slow. The beer selection was very good. There were 10 home made beers on tap and several guest offerrings. The bottle menue was good....but I noticed this bar seemed particulary to favor IPA and Belgian ales. Outside of that there was not much to choose from. Didnt try the food....so good luck with that. The value was fine. What I liked most about this place was the ability to but 4oz tasters...even of the guest beers...no other place has ever offered that awesomeness!

One of my favorite places to go in Chicago. Great food (The Riot is amazing), great beers on tap all the time, and their barrel aged beers are phenomenal. Claire’s Thirsty ale is one of my all-time favorite beers, followed by Acrimonious & Indignant.
They’ve won a number of medals at multiple beer festivals and they are well deserved.
Pete is constantly pumping out quality brews, but one of the tried & true staples is Mathias Imperial IPA. It is absolutely amazing, but at 10%, it’ll sneak up on ya after a couple.
Easy walk from Ogilvie Metra station and not far from Union Station, if you haven’t gone before, I’d definitely recommend going.
