Typical brewpub atmosphere: brick walls, sight where you can see the brewing equipment, etc. Lots of t.v.s which is nice for catching a game now and then. However, good luck getting a seat as this place is treated like a yuppie hangout by many locals.

I agree with a lot of the other reviewers. Lots of people with mixed drinks and wine. So many bars do those drinks better, why not leave us a space at the bar for beer drinkers at a brewpub.

Anyways, the beers are pretty good and slightly better than some of the other breweries around, like Rock Bottom and Metropolitan, though not outstandingly so. Food is pricey and they do try to switch it up. Compared to other brewpubs it is relatively below average in price, which is a damn shame.

Service is fine, though the servers, besides the bartender, are pretty unknowledgeable about the beers.

Plenty of house brews and a great guest tap. Plus as others have mentioned, the four sizes (4oz, 12oz, 16oz and 20oz) is great. I did the math and they charge per ounce so you won't be charged more for a 12oz serving than a 16oz. That's pretty cool.

I guess the food is alright. They do offer vegan entrees most of the time, but the menu changes randomly so when I brought my vegan friend here, luring him by saying that they had a decent vegan menu, much to our surprise the menu went from four or five options to one vegan option. Inconsistent.

The brewer here is the old brewer from Rock Bottom and makes fine brews. Check them out and support craft beer.

The best brewpub in Chicago. Sure, Revolution's great too, but this is my go-to. Excellent beer, food, and service. What more could you want?

Didn't try the food, but the atmosphere and beer were excellent. Their Mathias and Fresh Hop Mathias are world class beers. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Chicago.
