A: single finger head. Strong lacing. Brownish gold and murky.

S: mildly fruity

T: earthy and fruity. Solid hop flavor. The malt helps make this beer less watery as many Reds tend to be.

M: mild to mod carbonation.

O: I usually avoid Reds because they disappoint flavor wise but not this Red. It is one of my 3 favorites in the category.

Served at beer tasting venue during the 2011 Jacksonville Jazz Fest. Thanks Cari!

Pours with a super creamy and lasting tan head over a dark red-brown ale.

Has an excellent aroma I associate with West coast hops. The flavor is hoppy from start to finish, with some malt in the mix prior to the finish.

M - smooth. That durable head adds to the feel all the way until the bottom of the glass.

O - A superb red ale for hop heads, with plenty of hop aroma, flavor and bitterness. Significantly more hoppy and bitter than a Dundee IPA that followed it. This is a robust beer perhaps best classified as a Red IPA.

Poured on-tap at the brewery in JAX, this beer was poured in a pint glass. It is a slightly hazy, deep auburn-red color with a thick, clingy head. It's a hoppy red, with fresh green and cedar aromas. Crisp and light in mouth, with a good balance of sweet caramel malt and green, wet hops flavors. The beer has a bitter aftertaste with a dry finish. Very well balanced and very tasty.

appearance: bright garnett, nice head retention

smell: citrus, caramel

taste: nicely balanced caramel, citrus, specially grapefruit.

mouthfeel: medium bodied

drinkability: not my favorite, needed more body. I like the longleaf for similar style better,

A - Poured with a small, white head of foam on top of a hazy, amber-brown body. The head settles slowly and leaves moderate lace.

S - Pine hops with a light aroma of sweet orange. Some bready caramel malt to balance.

T - Rich caramel malt with pine hop flavor up front. Bitterness begins to creep in towards the middle with more toasted bread. The beer finishes with dry toast and pithy, grapefruit hop bitterness.

M - medium body, moderate carbonation, and a dry finish.

D - very nice, the hop aroma is excellent and the malt is more ryan strong enough to support. The flavor hops could be a but more pungent, but it is sufficient. Just a little more malt oriented than a true west coast red, this is quite good, especially for s brand new brewery.
