The West Coast comes to Jax with this extremely hoppy, true India Pale Ale. Our two-row malted barley and caramel malt come to life with a ?@!#-ton of Northwest hops. We use 4 different hops during the brewing process and during dry hopping. It’s music to your nose.

A: Poured a orangish color with good carbonation and a nice white cap that provides some nice head retention, bubbles and light lacing
S: Caramel, citrus bouquet and pine
T: A noticable caramel malt with some light grapefruit, prange peel which transitons into a little bit of pine resin. The finish is pretty clean, some sort of light metal like twang, light booze sting and light hop bitterness
M: Medium bodied, well carbonated, pine and citrus sit on the palate.
O: A pretty good IPA. Balanced and I would drink again.

Interesting IPA with a unique but enjoyable flavor...pours a darker copper color....
Earthy, piney and vegetal notes abound but I also get a light dark berries impression as well.
Malt backing seems to lean towards an English IPA and in general that is probably where I'd place this.....don't get me wrong...I doubt there are East Kent Goldings of Fuggles in this beer but the overall finished product reminds me more of an English IPA than an American one...which is not a bad thing...
I drank this at several places on tap in Jacksonville and am reviewing off a can right now and it was often a tough call for me to decide on which way to go if a place had this and Jai Alai Ipa because they offer such stark taste differences, and it was kind of dependent on my mood.
Quality IPA that might not impress some looking for a lot of juicy tropical or citrus notes..

Poured from draft at the Landshark Bar and Grill in Jacksonville Beach. Perfect beer to go with the view.

12 ounce undated can.
Pours dark, murky and hazed up, with a load of froth and stick all over the glass.
Malty nose with ripe tropical notes in the middle and back end…honey, nuts, pineapple, ripe mango…delicious stuff…go get some

On tap in a pint glass.
In outdoor evening lighting it looks like a filtered copper amber color. Less than a f of cap with minimal hold or lacing.
Malted caramel orange aroma. Breaded.
Breaded malt flavor, strong citrus, orange and lemon.
Upper medium body with malt sweetness and bitter hop finish.
A little more aroma would be a nice upgrade. Not bad overall.
