pint at a Florida pub very near brewery.

A fine clear amber color covered by a thin head that soon dissipates to some islands and a ring, but leaves some lacing on glass. {a second sample several monthas later had a more durable head). Dark for a pale ale, the appearance accurately indicates a boldy flavored pale ale.

A nice hoppy aroma with obvious citrus and piney notes. The flavor is more citrusy and less piney than the aroma. It is also more hoppy than their Simcoe IPA (consumed just 2 days earlier). Its really quite bitter and hoppy for a pale ale and will appeal to many people who like IPAs. Good to very good, but I'd like it better with a bit more malt.

It has a pleasant amber color and forms a nice foamy head and clings to the glass. The smell is mostly hops. The caramel and malt flavors are subtle. The citrus - grapefruit - and hops flavors are dominant on the palate, maybe a touch of bitterness. Being a fan of IPAs, it approaches that style.

A very drinkable pale ale. Personally, a littel less citrus or moe caramel/malt flavor would be ideal.

A lovely red with a nice foamy white head.

Aroma of citrus hops and caramel.

Sharp metallic hop flavor mix with grainy cereal notes. Bitter.

Nice body that's not light or watery.

Overall a nice pale ale. Certainly one that flirts with IPA territory.

A- pours an amber color with a small fizzy white head, decent retention

S- grainy malty mash with some sweet caramel notes, barnyard, grainy and earthy

T- flavor pretty much follows aroma, grainy and earthy was flavors of dried hay, there's some light hop bitterness on the finish

M- medium body with low carbonation, slick mouthfeel and finish

O- not exactly what I would expect from a pale ale, very raw and grainy

A: Poured a deep orange w/ good caronation, nice fluffy white head with good retention. Decent lacing as well.

S: Caramel, grapefruits and some grass

T: Caramel malt with some light spice meets grapefruit juice. A bit chewy, definitely not a West Coast APA. A subtle hop bitterness appears mid palate. The finish has a little citrus, light bitterness and somewhat dry

M: Medium bodied, well carbonated and as I mentioned earlier sordove a hearty APA

O: Not bad, not great but slightly above average.

Poured from 12oz can into a pint glass.

Appearance: rich orange hue with a moderate haze and a strong effervescence. Head pours a thick finger of frothy ivory foam which doesn't stick around too long. Color is great, though.

Smell: sweet malt with a big dose of citrusy, Cascade-y hops. Not bad, but a little homebrew-ey. Perhaps it is recipe formulation -- a very run-of-the-mill APA.

Taste: flavor tracks with the aroma, with a pretty strong bitterness toward the end. Decent, but nothing special going on here.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good level of carbonation and a decent creaminess.

Overall: a drinkable, sessionable pale ale. I like it for this, although it's nothing new flavor-wise.
