Canned 7.11.14. Drank 11.15.14. Poured into a 12oz shaker from a can.

A: Pours a picturesque amber with two fingers of light khaki head on an aggressive pour. Visible carbonation along the bottom of the glass, and large, light bubbles within the slow fading head. Leaves a patchy lacing until receding to a thin cap.

S: Soft grapefruit, strong caramel malt, and a certain musk that I can't quite define. Almost smells like damp hay.

T: Strong caramel malt right from the beginning, followed by a mild spicy hop bitterness. Grainy and earthy. Not at all what I expected from the same people who make I-10 IPA, or from a pale ale in general.

M: Medium body, light carbonation, smooth and slick from the abundance of malt. Leaves with a slight drying hop bitterness.

O: A commendable effort, but I feel it still needs a bit of refinement. It lacks the clarity, balance, and crispness that the APA style standouts exude. Not something I would seek out again, but I wouldn't necessarily turn down either.

Poured into a pint glass on tap at Kickbacks in JAX
Reviewed from notes

A-pours burnt yellow with a sticky rocky head made of large bubbles. A little fizzy fanfare is holding up the head with some bubbles running of the sides of the beer. Not Bad.

S-Smells really hoppy for a pale right of the bat. Mostly bitter hops with some floral sneaking in after the initial sniff. As it warms up a bit some citrus comes in as well.

T-Very hoppy surprise. Lots of bitter and citrus notes that are pretty flavorful. Nothing in the way of malt to back them up so its pretty un-balanced. Could use some more complexity but still a good start.

M-Fizzy and full for a pale. Carbonation is Perfect.

D-overall a great tasty beer. Could use some more malt in there to make it more interesting but Other than that drink-ability is great.

Pored from a 12 oz can. In the glass it was a an orange rust color small white head laced the glass pretty well. There were smells of pine and a lot of hops; this is carried into the taste. There are a lot of hops and some citrus with little to no malt. A bit light on the feel but smooth. I prefer sweeter beers as I have said before, however since the goal of this beer is obviously not to be that I will try to take it for what it is. Having said that I enjoyed this beer, it was drinkable and refreshing if not the most satisfying in mouthfeel. I may not be the most qualified to judge this on style, but again I enjoyed it.

This is an under rated staple from a genuine brewery. Intuition makes legit drink and this deserves to be the flagship. Sure I wouldn't go out of my way, but if it's an option I'm on it. Best enjoy out of a tap but have gained great respect for what the guys in Jacksonville come up with. Haven't tried it, try it.

It has a pleasant amber color and forms a nice foamy head and clings to the glass. The smell is mostly hops. The caramel and malt flavors are subtle. The citrus - grapefruit - and hops flavors are dominant on the palate, maybe a touch of bitterness. Being a fan of IPAs, it approaches that style.

A very drinkable pale ale. Personally, a littel less citrus or moe caramel/malt flavor would be ideal.
