A: Poured a clear, deep reddish-brown. Head was 2-fingers, with fair retention, and nice lacing.

S: Allspice first, then malt and citrus, finally banana esters. I'm more reminded of banana bread than pumpkin pie.

T: A melange of spices is the first thing that hits the palate, strong but not overpowering. There's a little sweet, bready malt as well. I can taste a fruity/vegetable flavor, but I can't really say it's pumpkin. Hops bitterness is there, but faint in the finish.

M: Moist and refreshing, not especially crisp. Fair carbonation.

O: More spicy than fruity, and more like a hefeweizen than a porter, despite the deep color. My friend with whom I shared it agreed it was the best thing we sampled all night. Next year, I'll definitely go back to the brewery for this limited seasonal beer.

Poured a orange body with minimal head and lace ring.
Aroma is less pumpkin and more spice with touches of cinnamon and it seems like hops are poking through as well.
Pumpkin is low-key in this beer as the sweetness from pumpkin and pumpkin spice balance out beer but are less prominent than the sharper spices and at times this beer even gets a little boozy on the finish.
A pumpkin beer that seems to concentrate less on being pumpkin flavored and more of a strong beer that has pumpkin in it.
