A truly horrible beer to me due to the peculiar "Cheap Vanilla Icing" taste that I picked up. Looks decent and smells very forgettable.
I had this on tap as well.

Look: Light golden and clear in appearance.

Smell: A sweet aroma with citrus and a bit of floral.

Taste: Flavors of citrus, floral with a pale malt backbone and slightly earthy flavors.

Feel: It has a sweet finish. It is also a smooth drinking ale.

Overall: It is a little subtle in the aromas and the taste is a bit simple. It seemed to lack the fruity aroma and flavor that is associate with other brews in the same category. Overall it was good.

A - pours bright yellow with a big, dense, white head that has good retention.

S - heavy lemon zest, faint straw

T - straw, coriander, orange peel, lemon zest

M - light to medium bodied, smooth, very crisp

This is a light, easy to drink beer. It has a heavy citrusy character and the carbonation is a bit heavy, but overall it's not bad.

COD 163/14. Pours a hazy gold with a nice head. Lacing and retention are somewhat poor. The final pour from the bottom of the can yields heavy flocculants. Light nose with citrus and spice elements. Light medium body with average carbonation that yields a touch of effervescence on the finish. Nice smooth texture. The flavor profile is subdued, but balanced. Light citrus notes with a touch of spice. Light hop flavor on the finish. An OK beer.

A: A very light yellow color with a finger of head. A little hazy as most belgian wits and not much lacing.
S: I could smell the orange peel and the wheat, but something was a little off. Whenever I put my nose to this it seemed a little off putting.
T: I taste the wheat and the orange. A little bit of spice. Tastes a little watery to me. Nothing special but nothing bad.
MF: Nice and crisp. Great carb on this beer. This is a great beer in warm weather. And its in the 80s today. This is going down nicely.
O: Nothing special. This is a great summer beer. Has a little more going on than a Blue Moon or Shock Top.

Pretty nice beer. Very light overtone of heffeweisen on a mostly american pale ale. It could stand to have more taste and aroma. The aroma is almost non-existent.

Very refreshing in the summer.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a whiteish/yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of spices, some citrus. Taste is crisp, spices, wheat, lemons, mild but very refreshing and easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

A - Pours with one and a half fingers of white foam on top of a straw colored, slightly hazy body.

S - Te aroma is typical of the style with notes of coriander, wheat, vanilla, and slightly musty yeast.

T - Light, slightly watery grain flavor up front with some coriander in the middle. Finishes with clean grain, a touch of generic spice and a bit of musty hop flavor.

M - Light body, moderate carbonation, and a balanced finish.

D - Nothing unpleasant here, but it is unusually light and bland. Still, it hits the basic notes of the style and isn't any worse than the majority of American attempts at a Belgian style wit.

A: single finger head with some retention and lacing on a hazy golden body.

S: grains, sweet corn, light sweet lemon and honey.

T: grains, musty pale malts, hint of lemon tartness and herbs.

M: medium body and moderate to high carbonation.

Overall: how good can a beer in this category really be. Its not one I would get routinely or have more than one or two of at a time.

Served from tap in to a shaker. Poured a hazy pale golden yellow with a one finger pure white head that subsided to a half finger amount slowly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, wheat, grain, earth, and subtle spice. The flavor was of sweet malt, earth, wheat, grain, and very subtle fruit. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a decent brew. For the style this one wasn't too bad with all of the usual aspects o e would expect, but sadly it didn't really do much more than that for me. It could have used a little more of a sweet profile to help balance out the earthy notes going one. Still not too bad for a nice sunny day out.

This had a very corny flavor for a Witbier, but I did get some coriander and spice. Very light wheat but it resembled, at times, an adjunct. Lots of corn maltiness.

A new one for me, not really sure how long this one had been out, but looked like a nice was to start off the night. Served in a pint glass, and consumed on 02/09/2010.
The pour was good for the style. Very light, pale golden in color with a good bit of visible carbonation that could be seen streaming up toward the surface of the glass. Really nice little head of white foam forms on top and settles down gently into a great little head. Aroma is very light, very bright with a nice touch of lemon and citrus on the nose. Light, very bright, crisp and clean feel here. Almost sparkling at times. Very, very light. Flavor fades quickly on me though as light grains, and a light touch of citrus are really all that remains after just a few moments and the very light and dry final sips seem to pull it all together quite nicely.
Overall while not being the most terribly interesting thing in the world, it was enjoyable and the purpose and follow through were both definitely there. I could see myself having this one a couple times on a warm day.

Appearance 3.5: Poured out a hazy, grayish yellow with a small head that quickly dissipated. This beer looks like a wheat: hazy and a strange yellowish color. Still, looks appetizing and reminds me of a saison with its appearance.

Smell 3.5: Nice bouquet. Slight hint of citrus rinds, blueberries (!) and treacly light grains. Nice hint of a low-level hop...I am thinking Saaz?

Taste 3.75: Front is spicy, with a somewhat flat malt taste. Middle brings out more of the spicy yeast taste and a big hint of perfumy citrus (it tastes better than it sounds). Finish is also somewhat flat, but is very dry and refreshing. Aftertaste features more of the blueberry, citrus and spicy yeast and fades very quickly... .

Mouthfeel 3.75: Crisp, refreshing and complementary level of carbonation.

Overall 3.75: Very good, borderline excellent beer. The blueberry taste grows on you and reminds me of a boysenberry ale that I loved that is no longer being produced. This beer is light, refreshing and entirely sessionable. Recommended...if you can find it!

Nice cloudy pale gold. The aroma is citrus, hay, coriander and peppery spice. The taste is nice with very little bitterness. Hay, citrus and peppery flavors are quite pleasing. The beer also has a nice sweetness. Not the greatest witbier but pretty good.

12 ounce can -> World Market Tulip

A - hazy straw, one half inch head, no retention, and no lacing. Not a pretty looking beer at all

S - spicy smell, banana, orange peel, and coriander

T - very dry and yeasty throughout with some very spicy notes

M - decent carbonation with a slightly metallic aftertaste

O - decent to style, but not spectacular

A: Pours a cloudy pale golden yellow in color with light amounts of visible carbonation and some faint lemon + straw yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy white head that quickly reduces to a very thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer along with a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Very light aromas of wheat with some light notes of lemon zest and coriander spices. Overall a very light aroma.

T: Upfront there are light flavors of wheat with slightly stronger flavors of lemon zest and coriander along with a light hint of honey sweetness. Minimal amounts of bitterness in the finish which fades pretty quickly.

M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Very easy to drink and enjoyable - refreshing and definitely a sessionable summer brew. I would probably grab this one again. Slightly sweet for the style but that kind of hit the spot tonight with BLTs.

A - 3.5 - Pale yellow with a white head that dissipates fairly quickly.

S - 3.5 - Faint, a hint of honey/malt

T - 4.0 - The nicest mix of malty and orangey. The orange is kind of like candy, sort of a floral/fruity/honey. Perfectly balanced. Leaves a mild bitterness behind.

M - 3.5 - Soft, lots of gentle carbonation

O - 3.75 - A pleasant, friendly, very drinkable wit.

Found this local favorite in a can....
A: Poured a nice color with a big wheat head
S: Clean aroma with orange, spice and light malt come alive.
T : Real refreshing with citrus orange and tangerine mixed in... Then you get the spice with a nice finish.
M: It's a light mouthfeel .. an easy drinker
O : This is a great warm weather drinker .... Even a session brew . A good change from all the the big beers this time a year ...

Gold colored with a bubbly white head, it's cloudy and there's a large amount of arbonation.
You can smell the coriander used in this as well as the orange peel, there is also a fruity yeasty aroma Im picking up.
First I taste the wheat, followed by breast toast with an orange peel finish.
Light bodied and crisp make this a very refreshing beer. The bold wheat and bread flavors give way to a more subtle orange citrus flavor.
This is a good smelling beer that has both aroma and flavor complexity. The bold flavors really surprised me as I was expecting something more laid back. This is a unique beer.

This seems standard for a witbier. The nose is spice, wheat, and yeast and the flavor is much the same. What I like about this one is the very smooth mouth feel. It gives it the feel of a medium body though it is a light style.

Pours a pale, straw colored yellow body beneath the pillowy pure white head which slowly dissolves to leave a scattered lacing about the glass.

Aromas consist of fresh citrus zest, straw hops, and just a touch of white pepper spice.

The flavor is similar offering fruity citrus zest, sharp grassy hops, a hint of peppery spice but also a nice grainy back bone.

Crisp, spicy, and zesty on the mouth with a medium body and carbonation wth a grainy finish.

A nice white ale with a fair amount of character. I look at this as more of a white ale or an American Witbier.

On tap at several locations in Charlotte, NC

Appearance: Looks tasty, cloudy straw-pale-golden pour.
Aroma: Light and refreshing, some wheat, lemon, citrus and orange rind
Flavor: Similar, light wheat/rice grains followed by a crisp, clean acidity.
Mouthfeel: A bit thin, but expected for such a light beer
Drinkability: This is where this one shines, perfect for outside on a hot day, which is exactly when I had it.

Sampling a cellar temp can poured into a pint glass. The beer pours a bright clear gold hue until the very last drops which add just a bit of haze to the beer. I get a fizzy bleached white head of 2 cm that foams up and fades instantly to a thin surface layer.
Aroma is noticeable from the can opening with citrus notes and a bit of yeasty bread. I also get some cloves and coriander with a nice wheaty twang mixed in for good measure. Nice nose on this brew.
First sip reveals a light crisp body with fine tingly carbonation. Very easy to drink and no hints of ABV, which works for such a low alcohol beer.
Flavor is twangy and almost a little tart but also similar to the nose. I get yeasty bread and some coriander with a general fruity sweetness that rolls to a very dry finish.
This is a great beer for a hot day, or for writing up a beer column, as I am currently doing. I would buy this beer for poolside or beach adventures if it was available to me.

Light and refreshing. Had it in cans for years and now on tap in Coulwood. Love the coriander and spice flavor and smell. Lovely summer beer. Great with food but probably only one by itself although low abv.

12oz can into miller lite pint glass

Appearance is a clear straw yellow with a white head that stays around quite long for the style. Tons of citrus rind in the smell and some wheat light/dry notes. Taste is again orange rindy and wheaty with some hints of yeast, finishes with a light spiciness (from the hops or coriander?). No off notes. Mouthfeel is light body and medium/high carb and some dryness (not much for the style).. Very easy to drink

An interesting with that leans heavily towards the orange rind instead of the yeast and spice. Very well suited for warm weather drinking. Nice to see a light beer like this pulled off with no off notes that are so easy to come out in these light beers. Nothing wrong with this one, I just prefer the yeasty/spicy wits.
