Enjoyed at The Common Market at one of their CM.BEER.EDU series tastings with head brewer Todd Boera. Leap Day 2012.
A - clear golden color with big off-white head, bubbly and active; moderate lacing
S - toast, biscuits, pear/pear preserves, green apple
T - buttery biscuits and pear preserves in liquid form! IN-SANE! where is the 11.8% alcohol?
M - medium bodied with light but sufficient carbonation; sweet, coating mouthfeel from the honey; very pleasant sweet linger that avoids being cloying
O - amazing! please brew this again. make it a seasonal, make it a year-round - i don't care. base beer is great and the pears and honey added are right on point. a must-try if you can find it. look for CVB tasting events.
Serving type: on-tap
