Orange brassy hue with good clarity and a billowing off white head. Nice piney and grapefruit nose. Lots of hop resin. Touch of toasted malt lies beneath and a hint of caramel.

Crisp and extremely clean tasting. Touch of grapefruit rind on the tip of the tongue. Caramel and toasted Malta coat the side of the tongue bracing you for the agressive hop flavor. Finishes win a cleanup piney bite that balances the beer extremely well. Nothing crazy here but it is a clean and well brewed ale with flavors that all really get a long. Bodies a bit thin but this helps with its drinkability, afterall it is a beer for kicking back and having a few.

Pours from a bottle into a pint glass.

Pours light copper/amber, small foam. Modestly sticky. Toffee/caramel nose, and malty too. Light caramel taste, a touch sweet with a fade out. Hope notes, but 5 seconds later. Smooth and easy going with good amber/flavor. Nice blend, uncomplicated.

A: The beer is relatively clear amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high dense beige head that died down, leaving a large patch of bubbles in the center of the glass, a collar around the edge, and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of toasted malts and earthy yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste nearly resembles the smell—the only difference is that a light amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied and a somewhat thin and watery on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer goes down easily, but both the smell and taste seem rather bland for the style.

Had this on draught a local pub in New Jersey. Beautiful burnt copper through the pint. Pleasant nose. A tasty brew, semi-sweet and malty up front before giving over to an assertive hop character in the back. The bitterness lingers but isn't unwelcome before finishing clean. I was impressed with the lace left on the pint after the first few pulls, the glass still held its suds after I was done and went back for a few more. Very "sessionable" and enjoyable.

Pours dark amber with a thin head that stays, leaving a little lacing.

The smell is of heavy caramel with a hint of toast.

The taste is of sweet caramel with a hint of toast. There is something plastic-ish in the aftertaste.

It has medium to ample carbonation with a lighter side of a medium body.

It's "okay", but one-dimensional caramelish sweet - though not sticky and I'm not a big fan of the aftertaste.

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with a long lasting white head, a lot of bubbles and lacing. Aroma is of caramel malt and grassy, citrusy hops. Body is light-medium and slightly crisp. Earthy, piney, citrusy hops, caramel malt and hints of fruit combine on the palate. Finish is short, bitter, and medicinal. Not too much of flavor in this brew and they do not mix together well.

My uncle just brought me some beer to try from Jersey, and I cannot believe how awful this is. It's a strange, sort of oatmeal taste (although it claims to be an amber ale), and it's just plain offensive. It really is a shame because I've enjoyed some of the stuff this brewery has made. I can't figure out how this would be fun to drink in any season.

Avoid!

Appearance - This beer pours a very cloudy amber almost brown with a good amount of sediment floating around. 1/2 inch thick dirty white bubbly head.

Smell - Doesn't really smell to promising to me, has a dark malty aroma with hints of caramel, a little booze to maybe.

Taste - The Taste is very bland and Malty upfront with a bitter bite on the finish with tiny hints of caramel and burnt bread. Not well balanced as it goes from nothing to a bitter bite on the back end.

Mouthfeel - Wet on the palate with a very watery mouthfeel. Light Mouthfeel.

Overall -This beer did not impress me at all. It totally lacked a body, and was not well balanced at all. Would not buy again.

Guess this is this company's flag ship. Poured from a 12 oz into a standard pint. Expectations slightly higher that they would be based on the solid "black lager" Winter seasonal I got with this when I bought this bottle.

Appearance: Straight red beer with a slightly red-off-white head. Keeps the head a while and laces the glass well enough.

Smell: Some pretty evident hop notes and what seems like caramel malts. Not bad at all.

Taste: Can't claim to be a big fan of this. It could easily be good if it tried. It's got a weird medicinal taste upfront that I can't claim to enjoy. Almost tastes like Luden's Cough Drops. Light hops on the end almost save this... But not really. As you drink more the medicinal flavor mellows and makes it slightly better. Added a half point for that.

Mouthfeel: Oddly light and watery. Light on the carbonation for how it tastes.

This beer looks and smells good. Sadly, a nice "beer aesthetic" won't sell something that isn't good.
