Mix a six pick up at Wegmans. Poured into a pint glass.

Pours bright copper, 1/4 inch white foam. Active cascading bubbles.Malty nose, light toffee note. Baked bread. Taste is a caramel/toffee bread, which flows into a mild hop. Sweet. Tangy bitter in the back. Milder/sweeter than a typical IPA. But good.

Faintly hazed orange glue with a super tight and clingy craggy white head. Flowery and citric hop presence on the nose. Mild caramel notes comes through underneath.

Crisp medium body with bright carbonation. Rolls down smoothly. Semi-sweet malt presence on the tip of the tongue opens up to floral hop flavor with a piney and citric punch. A delicate balance of malt and hop. This beer allows you to taste all the hop flavor without any of the traditional IPA bite on the back end. Pretty good and, highly drinkable , and makes for a nice session IPA.

This beer seems confused between an American IPA and English IPA -- the malts are way too dominant to let any hop character shine through (and I had it fresh on tap). East Coast Beer Co should consider rebranding this as an English IPA, and brewing another more hop-forward beer to satiate hopheads -- of which there are many in NJ.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with at their new brewery in Belmar, but this wasn't the most promising start, especially considering Kane's IPAs are a ten minute drive away.

Pours amber with a sizeable white head that soon descends to a lasting thin cover.

The smell is of mild citric and tropical fruits.

The taste of sweetish caramel almost overtakes the citric/tropical fruit from the hops, but stays even. Somewhat abrupt finish. Rather thin, but stays above watery.

This isn't a bad brew, but it's rather weak for an IPA.

12oz bottle in a pint glass

A- Bright golden-orange color. Crsytal clear, minimal bubbles. One-finger off-white colored head, that makes a fast fade to a film and leaves a little lacing.

M- Very mild pale ale type aroma. Malty without hop aroma. Sweet caramel smell for an IPA.

T- Caramel and pale malts No hop flavor at all.

M= Quite good- the feel is chewy. There's no hop bite or IPA finish, though.

O- There's nothing IPA about this. It could go as a Summer red ale or alike, but it's NOT an IPA!
