Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is copper, head is off white/light tan with fine bubbles and presents with 1/2 inch thickness, some spotty lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is muddled with off hops and neutral malt, a bit sweet, touch of caramel.
Taste is similarly muddled with off malt hinting at caramel, hops are earthy or herbal but not well selected.
Mouthfeel is crisp, maybe overcarbonated a bit.
Overall a messy ipa with slightly off aromas and flavors.

Pours clear amber color with a 2-3 finger big foamy light tan head that was full of tiny bubbles, fading very slowly as this cloudy head dissipated at a snails pace, leaving really nice foamy lacing and rings as it went down.
Smells of waffles with maple syrup, toffee, caramel, brown sugar, sweet malt, vegetable husk and graham cracker. A hint of fruity sweetness, but zero IPA hoppy character. Smells like a bitter or brown ale with heavy caramel malts. Way off the mark for an IPA.
Tastes of mineral water, caramel, brown sugar, wet grass, sweet malt, vegetable husk and graham cracker. This is my second bottle from this 6 pack, so unless this was a bad batch I assume that this beer is just not made with the correct blend of hops since it does not resemble an IPA in any way. This wouldn't even pass for an English IPA.
Mouthfeel is smooth and watery with mild carbonation, a light body and more malt that any IPA should release in each sip. As an IPA this beer just does not do anything for me. Overall not very good, even for a bitter it would not taste right.

-Mahogany. White head
-Caramel, sweetness. Not much else
-caramel, sugar, roasted grain, very little taste of hops
-Silky, smooth, but cloying and slick, almost no carbonation, pretty flat
Sad to say but being honest. I did not like it too much. Too sweet for me. Looking forward to trying their Winter Rental this year though

Wasn't expecting much when I looked up the BA score, but I was pleasantly surprised when I actually tried it. Not really an American IPA (more like an english IPA or bitter) but still quite good.
