Very solid, enjoyed this more than Stone 18. This was the perfect Imperial IPA. It came with he hops, the bitterness, the floral aspect, and a nice not over powering malt character.

Hop bill had me excited (citra, mosaic, nugget, and simcoe) but my first impression was it was a bit muddled. Really damn good for 10%, though.

Bottle
A: light orange. Crystal clear. Medium head. Fizzy.
S: citrus. Pine resin. Pineapple. Faint spice (black pepper).
T: basic malt profile. hop forward. Mango. Pine tar. Alcohol. Bitter forever.
M: medium-high carbonation. Medium body. Bitter. Dry.
O: hoppy double IPA. Good beer. But, tastes like all of the other double IPA out right now. Big hop profile with big alcohol content. Not bad. Not super great. Definitely a sipper. Might buy again.

Poured into a Dogfish Spiegelau glass. No freshness date.

A- Pours a medium amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains very well before relinquishing to a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a mostly full sheet of surface foam. Resilient trail of lacing leaves a ring behind for each sip that I take.

S- Lovely melange of citrusy, resinous hops. Grassy, piney, slightly musty.

T- The hops descend onto the palate with a solid but restrained intensity. Definitely more of a citrus theme going on here but there's an earthy aftertaste. Somewhat sweet.

M- Sharp and a bit dry with medium carbonation and a lightish body.

O- They knew exactly what they were doing for this commemorative ale. Dynamite hop combo.
