Hazy bright yellow, with fluffy lacing. Aroma smells like a dipa to me. I get some citrus mostly grapefruit, really floral and kinda grassy also some pine. Taste is floral and pine with some biscuit maltyness. The label said simcoe for evergreen and I can see that a little and it's not off putting. Body is medium with a grainy type of feel, not the smoothest beer. Overall really good job from Coronado. A bit different than other reg ipas and it seemed like I was drinking a bigger beer than 7%, not from the abv, must be the nugget hops.

22 oz. bottle, no bottled on date present. Listed as retired now on BeerAdvocate; i picked up the bomber of this from the local beer store; probably more than likely past date, but we'll see how it goes.
Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter.
A - Bright golden orange pour, one finger of frothy soapy white head that leaves excellent lacing behind. Appears adequately carbonated with a bit of haze. Fresh appearance.
S - The aroma has noticeably fallen off, whereas this was probably once a big piney resinous hop bomb, it is now dominated by notes of caramel, earthy twiggyness, and musty chocolate tootsie roll. Hops have noticeably fallen off.
T - Taste again has fallen off considerably. Vague notions of juicy stone fruit, oranges, mangoes, grapefruits. Not the tropical fruity hop bomb that it once was I'm sure. Earthy, grassy, herbal, twiggy caramel / toffee malts. Again, subtle note of tootsie roll in there. It's not bad.
M - Feel is smooth, crisp, & easy-drinking. Medium-light bodied with good carbonation.
Overall, wish i could have tried this one when it was fresh, as it seems like it would have been a hell of a lot better.

22oz poured to snifter
Pours a lovely gold, moderately hazed. Finger and a half of white head quickly drops to a lace.
Smell initially has a nice tropical floral juiciness, something of a muddled doggy - grassiness obscure that as it warms a touch
Flavor doesn't really follow the nose at all, big resiny pine and grapefruit rind, mild sugar cookie sweetness, a hint of grassiness towards the mid palate. Not as bitter as the text on the bottle hinted at, actually pretty balanced
Good medium body, could use a little more carbonation
Another nice effort from Coronado. The aroma started out promising but then turned all lawn mower, but that is really the only weak point. Flavor is nice, clean, with a little more complexity than some better known IPAs... not quite the hop bomb advertised, but a damn fine brew balanced a bit to the bitter side.
