aggressively poured from a 12oz bottle into a goblet.

appearance was excellent, a slightly hazy body with a thick bright white head. Head retained around the edge of the glass, but was faint on the main body of the beer. lacing was initially nice, but did descend the glass rather quickly.

Wasn't getting too much on the nose on this one. Some hops, vague sweetness was all

Taste was where things got a little strange. Initially, I got a strong non too pleasant fruity taste on the back of the tongue, mango-ish I'd have to say. Hops were muted but tasty enough. I put it aside and pondered for a while. "I'm not gonna enjoy this" I thought. But about halfway through the beer, I stopped getting the off putting fruity taste, and it was replaced by a peppery sharpness around the edge of the tongue. This I enjoyed immensely. Surprisingly enough, I enjoyed the pepper much more than I was irked by the mango taste.

Mouth was decent thickness. Full, not thin at all.

Overall, a very interesting drink. I have another in the fridge, so will be looking forward to how that one goes down. Did thoroughly rinse the glass before drinking, so not likely a residue issue

A-slightly hazy but a golden appearance. Head retention is good, but it would be difficult to have a bad head retention with a highly hopped up beer
S- Hoppy. Citrusy, but some pine to it. Perhaps a sweet malt characteristic as well.
T- Quite the taste to it. It not only has all the hop punch, but not kick; the finish is clean. It's got a floral taste to it too which balances out the hops and cleans up the finish.
M- Moderate. For an IIPA the body is perfect. No alcohol bite either which makes this beer very pleasant to drink.
O- 8.5/10 I'm sure there are better IIPAs out there, but this one is high quality. A definite must try.

Bottle > Pint Glass

A- Poured a very nice gold color, big two finger foamy white head, thick lacing.
S - Citrus zest, pine, oranges, peach, some pineapple, a slight musk, and some fresh bread.
T - Lots of hops, good juicy fruit flavors, nice strong bitter pine finish, a little on the drier side, and a nice balance of malt to bring everything together.
M - A lot of bitterness for most, but this is an Imperial.
O - Excellent west coast style IPA, very true to the style, Coronado doesnt get enough notice, their IPA's are solid.

Pours a four finger white head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Caramel and hop nose and flavor is a good blend of caramel and grapefruit hops with a lingering bitter aftertaste. 12oz bottle, from Gift Specialists Oceanside, California.
