Poured from the bottle into a Hoegaarden witbier tumbler.

A simple cloudy and opaque dull apricot body, with barely half a finger of white head off the pour. Settles though to a thin puck and a nice creamy white collar, with a little bit of clarity towards the head.

Bouquet is orange, but also something a little unpleasant. A hint of bile strangely it seems. The orange is quite nice and doesn't come off to artificial.

Nice first impression the sip. Good dense orange fruit at first, followed with a nice creamy palate and solid chewy wheat backbone. Dense. Controlled finish and a bit of toasty and bready aromas surprisingly on the swallow too. Glad that not much of that slightly off aroma is coming out in the taste.

Overall a fairly solid and pleasant witbier.

Fizzy, quickly dissipating cap. Very hazy, amber/orange color. Aromas of wheat grain and earthy citrus rind, oranges, a bit spicy. Medium bodied with lowish carbonation, felt a little dull. Low bitterness with more wheat, orange, and spicy character. Decent overall. I liked the orange aroma, but it didn't carry through as well into the flavour.

Coronado makes it to MA which means more 12oz bottles for me to review.

A- Poured into a tumbler with a hazy, yeast clouded golden light orange body. A small white cap forms that has a fizzy, somewhat creamy texture. Head retention is decent as the foam dies down to a small ring fairly quickly. Several patches of lace and a few small rings.

S- Not a whole lot of strength here, I find myself searching for the aroma in a style that usually smacks you in the face. Moderate amounts of citrus and orange peel come to mind with a bit of yeast spiciness beyond that.

T- Spiciness comes to life here as it didn't really hit me that much in the aroma. White peppercorn, coriander and even a bit of cardamom hit the palate with the aforementioned orange citrus zest feel. Rustic wheat bread, medium sweetness, herbal qualities, honey and earthiness all come to mind beyond the spice and citrus.

MF- Light bodied with a crisp, high-end carbonation; refreshing feel. Texture is fizzy with a slight silky creaminess. It all finishes off with a zesty bitterness lingering on the palate.

Something about the whole experience feels thin to me. The flavor doesn't round it to be all that satisfying to me and is a bit underwhelming. The added spices also throw the balance a little too far in that direction. Has that flavored soda feel for some reason.

Golden color with a thin head.
Predominant aroma of American Ale yeast, honey, biscuit and grainy malt and subdue pine.
Flavor of oranges and mandarins, grass, wheat, licorice, American Ale yeast, honey, white grapes, spices but mild on coriander and cloves. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Medium body with medium carbonation.
On the positive side, it brought a different blend of flavors, though something was missing, probably this would have worked better on a hoppier wheat beer.

The color is a very pale sort of orange. It's thickly hazed and has a moderate translucence to it. The head is fluffy and white, almost one finger tall with good retention and a modicum of spotting and patching intermingled.
It smells like orange peel, zest and juice with a bit of yeast under a dry pale malt. A hint of kitchen spices with a touch of sweetness also lingers a little.
Orange is the primary focus in this beer under almost thick malts with a tangy/dry wheat presence. Gentle spiciness sits through underneath, and there's an earthy overtone to it. Orange peel bitterness is light and constant.
This beer is unusually thick, its medium body quite big for a Wit. It still has a certain softness, though. It's brightly crisp all the way through. I want to score it higher but for slightly too much of a syrupy/sticky thing going on and only a moderate smoothness.
