I guess that Islander and Idiot IPA were too mainstream. Here's comes a twist; IPA brewed with spices and kaffir lime leaf. Thanks for the bottle Tina! On to the beer:
A little brighter than yellow, almost like a golden drop of sun. On top an inch of white patchy head relaxes. The aroma is modest, clean cut, spiced, tangerine, and a zest of lime.
The IPA base does show itself with tangerine and grapefruit notes, done in a clean way without hammering the complimenting spices and lime into the ground. The lime sticks itself out, providing a distinct accent to the beer. Something else sticks out as well, but I can't put my finger on it. It reminds me of tree sap. Anyway, the beer is clean, medium bodied, and a more than decent twist on the common IPA.

Thin layer of bubbles which leave some spots. The color is dirty gold with a mild chill haze.
Nice balance to the nose. All three elements of an IPA appear hear--alcohol warmth, mild grain and floral hop.
The malty base starts early and lasts throughout the tasting. The bitterness eases in, unlike most IPAs. The aftertaste is shorter and less bitter than most. Good body and bubbles.

It's like a hoppier session ipa. Also has a slight taste of an imperial ipa. I don't really know, I think I got a stale bottle perhaps

Served in a pint glass at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth.
Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a hazy pale yellow with good clarity of bubbles coming up through the glass. Nice lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Grassy, floral, piney, earthy, citrus, spicy, yeasty, pilsner, toasted, and pale malts.
Taste: Same as above with mild bitterness in the rear. Hop flavors balance off well with the malted barley.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, refreshing, mild bitterness, medium bodied, and medium carbonation.
Overall: Pretty nice AIPA. Revisiting this one on draft from time to time. I like the hop flavor quite a bit.
