On Tap at O’Brien’s Pub
*Standard pint glass

Listed as a 7% IPA with Chinook hops

A: Super clear and straw gold in color with some copper looking hues when held in the light. My pour only produced a thin layer of low retaining paper white film on top and had virtually no stick to the glass. Minus a few dots or so; seems a little off for an IPA which otherwise plays the part.

S: Smells of fruity hops with a dominant flowery component. A lot like orange blossom honey with some sweetness coming through from the bready pale malts and a dash of caramels. Not incredibly vibrant but has a nice hoppy floral quality there.

T: Tastes holds a firm bready cracker malt flavor with some slight caramel sweetness. Seems to have some pilsner malt or other base grains coming through giving it a more pronounced character. Hops start floral with a little citrus mixed in and turn real herbal towards the finish. Has a bit of hemp and earthiness going on. Higher perceived bitterness on the palate. Nice balance with alcohol kept well in check. Pretty nice little brew here.

M: Very dry and light body. Has a nice smooth creamy texture from the active carbonation with a real crisp and rather clean finish. Slight hoppy mouth puckering linger afterwards.

D: Light, crisp, hoppy, and refreshingly drinkable. Didn’t blow my mind but it’s just different enough to offer a nice changeup amongst all the other great San Diego IPA’s.
Would have again.
