Pours a light-looking golden yellow. Decent head/lacing.

Has an interesting nose for a DIPA, I get pistachio gelato, carob and chocolate. A savoury nutty note, coffee and of course waves of pine. Pineapple. Herbs and a definite kind of almond, biscotti note. Bit of alcohol.

Taste is actually more citrus-oriented, a little bit of booze and a quite subtle caramel malty note. As time progresses get more full-on pine, bitterness and booze.

Moderate and soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Fairly drinkable as a result.

This is one of the better DIPAs I've had in a while- complex, hoppy and unique. Main detraction is it's a bit boozy and I can't think of any particularly great reason why I needed a 9.5% bomber of it.

Pours orange/amber with a large white head.
Nose shows sweet malt, booze, pine and some sweet passion fruit and orange marmalade too.
Similar flavours, lots of sweet clean malt but lots of piny, resinous hops and a little pear and lychee too.
Could use a bit more carbonation.

A DIPA featuring a unique blend of Kiwi and other less commonly encountered hop varietals with good 'ol tropical Citra as the backbone, this brew pours up a sunset-like golden orange-amber hue with a copious quantity of beige foam. Aroma is plenty assertive, dominated by dank tropical fruit juice, pot resins, and an oddly sweet doughy malt. I get tons of fermenting pineapple juice and musky guava, orange and grapefruit rinds, and a rosewater floral note ... The palate captures this picture quite closely but with even more of a medicinal, herbal, spicy character. Mixed fruits, including under-ripe apricot or peach, sour white grapes, bitter lemon-lime citrus pith, and pineapple skin dance on top of a bed comprised of zippy pine/menthol, mixed peppercorns, herbal tincture, rose water alcohol, unlit cigrarette tobacco, and licorice. Bitter and not particularly sweet, which belies the old rank pineapple smell. Lots of different hop elements making their presence felt, and to top it all off the malt backbone is odd, mirroring the sweet white bread dough from the nose as opposed to the usual crystal malts and toffee flavors. The malts are buried under the hops, really. Thickish chalky body that coats the mouth, with a long finish that somehow manages to retain many of the hop flavors from the main course. Certainly interesting if lacking balance.

Thanks to tenderbranson69 for sharing this Christmas beer with me, enjoyed chilled in a willybecker.

The color is beautiful golden with light hazed amber highlights with thick cloud of light cream with fine bead and copious lace sticks. The smell is the most marijuana smelling mix of herbal and tropical hop esters with a mild orange aroma. The feel is very good with lots of tangy bitter hop textures with light astringency and mild sweetness with a semi-dry finish and mild alcohol in the end.

The taste is very good, lots of tropical fruit coming from the hops with a nice dank tangy flavor with grapefruit dominance and light pineapple accenting with a slight mango and orange rind with a nice mellow malt accent to support the slight grassy hop flavor toward the finish. The hop flavor is good, but not the most juicy or vibrant considering the blend, but it is tasty. Overall I found this to be exceptional, not just full of hop flavor but very drinkable for the strength...I would not have guessed this was a 9.5% beer unless I checked the label. I think this is a testament to the brewer's at Corornado-kudos!

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but was released recently. Pours moderately hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, mango, orange zest, lemon zest, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good complexity of hop notes with moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of big tangerine, pineapple, mango, peach, grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Good amount of earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, grapefruit, orange/lemon zest, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity of hop flavors with moderate malt balance; with a moderately crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly creamy, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent DIPA! All around great balance and complexity of bright hop flavors and moderate malt presence; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
