Thin bubbly head pours out of the growlers. The smell is nice and nutty, cinnamon is absolutely there and I love it. As much pecan pie taste as you can get in a beer. I taste a bunch of brown sugar and sweetness in the beer. Goes down smoothly, not sure what the ABV is but shouldn't be too high.
I will look forward again to this next thanksgiving!

Always considered a Brown Ale to be my 'change of pace' beer and this one was a perfect change of pace.
A: Pours a dark brown color with some light orangish red hues around the edges. Provides a nice tight beige foam head with nice retention. Some moderate lacing down the sides.
S: Ample amounts of brown sugar, cinnamon, pecans and pie crust. Smells just like a pecan pie in the oven.
T: Starts off with a nice thick coating of brown sugar. In the middle, the pecans and brown sugar blend nicely together producing a balanced taste that is not too sweet. On the back-end the cinnamon comes thru providing a nice holiday spice effect.
M: Leaves a nice creamy & slightly sweet taste on the palate.
O: This is a really nice Brown Ale. Lots of great nuances and flavors not seen in other brown ales. This one stands out ahead of the pack, give it a shot if you can.

Pours a dark brown whcih allows no light to get through. There is a tight one finger white head which recedes to skim and leaves fingers of lace up and down the glass. The aroma has a slight caramel malt backbone then the middle gives you a pecan and brown sugar smell before the cinnomon finishes up the beer. The taste follows suit. The backbone is of caramel malt. The middle has a brown sugar taste before the pecans and cinnomon finish up the beer. Well rounded. The mouthfeel is low carbonation. Overall a good brown ale there was a nice well rounded flavor and it was very drinkable.
