Pours a dark amber copper color that is slightly hazy. There is a big four finger head which is a light khaki color and sticks around for the entire drink and leaves lines of lace on the glass. The aroma is of molasses and figs along with a breadiness and then a the back end there is a nice floral hop aroma. The taste follows suit with the aroma. The backbone is of molasses and figs with some green fruit sweetness in the middle. At the back end there is a nice floral hop bite to the beer. The flavor is well rounded no part takes over and dominates the other. The mouthfeel is moderately carbonated. Overall a very good beer, well blended and not a hop or malt bomb like some others in the style. (701 characters)

Picked up at the brewery.

Probably one of the most balanced barleywines that I have had. Pours with a thin head, but plenty of carbonation.

The taste is earthy and tastes almost like an Imperial Brown Ale. Plenty of hops, but not overpowering. Really enjoyed this one, hopefully it gets made again. (301 characters)
