Ruby Red in color, non-transparent with a nice thick off-white head. Looking promising. Heavy malt smell, dark cherry, caramel, wheat bread. Flavor is very malt forward, dried fruit and chocolate follows. No hop bitterness to speak of. The taste is a little too malt heavy for me. Medium bodied, mild carbonation, coats the mouth a bit. Overall, a flavorful amber ale that I think is a little unbalanced. That being said however, its got good flavor and body, very drinkable.

Appearance: Pours an amber brown with two fingers of whitish head that fade quickly, not too much lacing left on glass.
Smell: Caramel malt and some citrus along with a nutty character. Pretty sweet and inviting, typical of an amber.
Taste: Quite malty with a bit of citrus fruit and some piney hop bitterness. More earthy than I expected but in a good way.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and very easy drinking, not too filling with a bit of creaminess. Not too bitter, pretty sweet on the tongue.
Overall: Pretty good amber here from TIn Roof. Maybe a bit better than Abita Amber but a similarly decent session ale.

Received this as an extra in a trade. Poured into my Duvel tulip.
A - Pours a light almost crystal clear light reddish brown hue with a big two finger creamy head that fades to leave thin lacing and a very, very nice half finger blanket.
S - Aroma is very malt heavy, light biscuit notes, faint wet cardboard. No real hops...
T - Similar to the nose, way too malt heavy and sweet here. No real hop flavour, per say, just a generic bitter finish. More of the biscuit bready qualities too.
M - Mouthfeel Is a touch on the thin side, fairly average.
O - Overall, a far too malty beer. Frustrated with Louisiana so far...

Poured a 12 oz can into a clean goblet and got the following
A. Cloudy brown with 2 fingers on fizzly tan head. Chestnut body color.
S. Smells like crystal malt and a little bit of nutty breadiness.
T. Slightly earthy and choppy with some sweet background crysyalliness.
M. Very good balance of sweetness and gravity and good carbonation.
Overall not bad but their pale ale is much better. Would buy again if in baton rouge again

Perfect Tin Amber Ale from Tin Roof brewery in Baton Rouge, LA.
Aroma. Mild citrusy with a little sweet hint if the dark malt
Appearance. Dark amber color, clear with a 2.5 finger white large bubble foamy head. With nice lacing for a vigorous can pour
Taste. A bit dry with slight malty sweetness but the citrusy notes are present, a hint if grapefruit and spices. A very light chocolate ending
Mouthfeel. A bit dry at first the a little oily after finish moderate carbonation
Overall. A nice amber ale with nice citrusy notes from the hops and surprisingly mild roasted chocolate finish. A solid beer.
