Poured from a 12 oz. can. Color is pale orange, very little head. Faint scents of citrus, some hops, malt. Taste is malt up front with some hop bitterness, mild aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel, lightly carbonated. Overall a pretty average pale ale, very drinkable, decent flavor.

I had this on at the Bayou Burger Bar on Bourbon. I think it is the best place to catch sports in the quarter. Good beer options, tons of TVs and decent food.

Served in a goblet (!), the beer is a dark copper with a really clingy tan head.

It has a nose of caramel and some citrus. It is inviting and fresh.

Taste is mildly bitter with lots of sweet malts. Slightly nutty with some low levels of citrus. I like how this one hangs together.

The mouth is good. Nice carbonation over a medium body.

Poured into a Florida Beer Co. tapered glass. No freshness date.

A- Pours a dark reddish amber color with a 1/2 inch light tan head that retains decently before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a mostly full sheet of sheer surface foam. Resilient lacing clings to the glass leaving small clots behind.

S- Somewhat sweet cereal grain aroma with some light hops.

T- Pretty standard pale ale flavor that's a bit on the malty side and exhibits some enjoyable sweetness. The bitterness is very mild but makes for some easy drinking as the alcohol is well concealed.

M- Also standard. Not a lot of pop or zing from the hops or carbonation. Medium body.

O- I've had this, Juke Joint IPA and the Watermelon Wheat by Tin Roof, all of which are pretty pedestrian. Probably won't try anymore of these guys' beers.

Appearance: Pours a clear deep amber with a one finger whitish head that fades quickly leaving some noticeable lacing.

Smell: Caramel malt, pine and some citrus. Nothing too pronounced by an okay aroma for a pale ale.

Taste: Some earthy notes and a good batch of citrus. Light grapefruit some pineapple but a bit of an off-taste too, again, only okay. As others have mentioned, strange aftertaste:

Mouthfeel: Pretty light bodied with low to moderate carbonation. Not exactly watery but bordering on that, I like more body to a pale ale.

Overall: Eh, Tin Roof is local but I've yet to be thrilled. If it was really hot, I'd drink this again, but I think their amber ale is better.
