Received as an extra in a trade. Poured into my Duvel tulip.

A - Pours a crystal clear dark amber hue with a one finger white head that fades rather quickly to leave a thin blanket. Next to no lacing.

S - Aromas of sweet malts, some light alcohol, and some vegetable hops. Solvent notes, cleaning supplies?

T - Light malty sweetness, super light pine, faint melon notes. Mostly that vegetable hops, solvent almost chemical after taste, light bitterness.

M - Mouthfeel is average, light carbonation, thin/watery.

O - Overall, hugely disappointed by this beer. Ugh, its tough to find a solid brew from Louisiana.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Color is pale orange, very little head. Faint scents of citrus, some hops, malt. Taste is malt up front with some hop bitterness, mild aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel, lightly carbonated. Overall a pretty average pale ale, very drinkable, decent flavor.

Thanks to Skuter for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours a hazy dark orange with a foamy beige head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, herbal hops, and a slight funky and rotten aroma that fades over time. Taste is much the same without the funky/rotten element but there is an earthy and herbal finish. There is a mild hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty average beer with a weird smell but decent taste.

Appearance: Pours a clear deep amber with a one finger whitish head that fades quickly leaving some noticeable lacing.

Smell: Caramel malt, pine and some citrus. Nothing too pronounced by an okay aroma for a pale ale.

Taste: Some earthy notes and a good batch of citrus. Light grapefruit some pineapple but a bit of an off-taste too, again, only okay. As others have mentioned, strange aftertaste:

Mouthfeel: Pretty light bodied with low to moderate carbonation. Not exactly watery but bordering on that, I like more body to a pale ale.

Overall: Eh, Tin Roof is local but I've yet to be thrilled. If it was really hot, I'd drink this again, but I think their amber ale is better.
