Stopped at a few random stores on the Eastside over the weekend.
This one looked menacing from the outside, a beat-down little shack with a sign in the shape of the iron cross and live bait signs. A Bud Light sign on the front door beckoning to "step into drinkability" or something... the marquee out front did advertise 150 beers, so we were in the right place.
Once inside it wasn't scary at all, there was a small counter to the left, and live bait was straight back, where a couple little kids with their dad were shrieking with delight seeing the fish and nightcrawlers, which was pretty cool.
The carpeted and wood-paneled store showed its age a little, but was clean and well lit, the modest craft selection was all up front in 3-4 cooler doors on one side, and a designated "cider - seasonals" cooler to the right. One door was seasonal beers, the other cider and malternatives. Something I didn't see anywhere else was a case display of a new Lake Louie seasonal, Apricot Goddess. There were a few other cases stacked in the area, mixed macro/craft, and a small selection of the usual craft staples from New Glarus, Ale Asylum, Capital, Lake Louie, and so on.
Once we got to the counter, the young guy chatted beer with us for a little bit, about current local seasonals, and the new Karben4 brewery and what he thought of their lineup. Overall an okay experience, more of a local neighborhood store and not a one-stop destination.
