12 oz Undated bottle served in Peroni glass.

Clear copper with a creamy tan head. Quite lovely but the head is short-lived. There is a lasting ring that leaves decent lacing.

Very attractive aroma with a matching flavor. Fine sweet malt flavor with enough hops to produce a sweet/bitter balance.

Excellent Marzen!

First glass served from tap into a shaker at the Thomas Creek Brewery Bash '10. Poured copper with a one finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount slowly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of malt, subtle spices, and a slight hop note. The flavor was of big malt, spices, slight pumpkin, and a very slight hop note. It had a medium feel on the palate with low carbonation. Overall this was a decent oktoberfest. Had a pretty nice flavor with a decent aroma. There just seemed to be something else missing to give this one an extra kick. Still a good brew. Try it if you get the chance.

The name of this beer is misspelled on the site, it's with a c on the bottle and not a k. Clear bright orange color with a big stick off white head. burnt toast, very toast nose with a good deal of hop character.

Light bodied easy drinking nice balance. Surprisingly pretty true to style. I've had some hit or miss beers from this brewery. Toasty character up front with a touch of sweetness. On the heavy side of being light bodied with medium bristly carbonation. A bit of burnt toast points along the mid palate adds some bitterness with an underlying earthy hop bitterness. Finishes very dry. Pretty nice. Touch of alcohol heat but doesn't take away from the drinkability.

12 oz. Bottle says 6%. Copper colored pour, just a thin layer of white head.

Aroma, some malt, herbal hops, that typical lager smell which I am chalking up to the lager yeast.

Taste, a solid herbal hop presence. Turns malty, caramel, cocoa and a light toast. Toasty bread finish. Really was surprised by this. Very nice.

Heavy side of light bodied, adequate carbonation. Could drink more of these than most other Octoberfests.

One of the better ones of these I've had in a while.

Pours a copper amber with a medium off white head. Aroma and Taste of sweet toasted barley, fruity notes with some mild floral earthy hops. Palate is a medium body, smooth with moderate carbonation. Finish is sweet toasted malt, barley, yeast and fruity notes with some mild hops bitterness slightly nutty ending. Overall a good solid, crisp refreshing session brew.

12oz bottle poured into a Pint Glass.

A - Pours a clear, dark copper with an incredibly creamy white head that settles to a luscious cap, leaving tons of soapy lacing as it recedes.
S - Sweet caramel malt, toasted grains, fresh-cut grass, and Lager yeast. Understated, but very nice.
T - More sweet toasted malt and caramel with a good amount of hop bitterness in the finish. Bit of off flavors from the Lager yeast, not quite as clean as I'd like, but this is still an exceptionally drinkable Oktoberfest.
M - Very smooth, slightly creamy, with a medium mouthfeel and good carbonation. The 6% ABV is very nicely hidden.
O - Really drinkable, I may have to go pick up a full six-pack of this stuff!

Ran into this one on Saturday and was very happy to see it back on again. Been forever since they have put it on anywhere so I naturally had to go grab a glass.

The pour was alright. A light ruby tinted brown without much in the way of a head is what greeted me right away. A bit of a let down, but what can you do. Not much head here at all and the lacing was non existent. Aroma of musky herbal notes, caramel and light candied sugar. A touch of bitterness good be picked up after a few moments as well. I was starting to get a little down on this but then I took a sip and it was nicely redeemed. Well balanced as there was a touch of bitterness to offset the marge malt bill that was put into this one. Caramel and candy sugar lead the way here, very sweet for the style I have to say. A bit light on the carbonation and it led to it have an almost oily feel to it which I find in alot of the local beer out of the upstate, maybe a water issue. But still followed through quite nicely and was immensly drinkable.

Overall a very solid offering here and one I would gladly go back to again. They should really make this one a bit more available.
