Appearance: Nice mahogany amber color that reminds me of the furniture in a nice antiquities store. Has a constantly lingering had with a consistent lacing down the glass.

Smell: Has little to no smell to me but I can pick up hops and caramel.

Taste: Bitter citrusy hops with a strong bitter finish. A good tasting IPA with a nice placement in the caramel.

Mouthfeel: Bitter medium body with a solid hoppy finish.l

Drinkability: A nice standard IPA from a nice small microbrewery. So far what I've tried from Thomas Creek I've thoroughly enjoyed. A nice IPA thats a decent representation of the style.

Very disapointing as an American IPA. More so when i spent top dollar for this "blah" bottle at a premier resturant in up-town Charlotte....and i lived in Greenville for a long time...

12oz bottle with no date.

Beer pours a brown with red hues. Full finger of off-white head and tons of lacing.

The smell is mostly caramel malts and some earthy, piney hops (not much here, as far as an IPA goes)

The taste is the same as the smell, but amplified. It is a malt bomb and no where near an American or English IPA in terms of hop presence.

It is well carbonated, but too sticky and under-attenuated for the style.

This is a very subpar IPA (would fit better as a brown ale), and doesn't have the dryness that I would expect/desire.

Poured into a standard pint glass a slight hazed lighter amber shade with a thinner but well retained white head.A mix of herbal hop and caramel, pretty basic but ok.Big caramel malt sweetness starts out on the palate then a shot of herbal/leafy hop comes thru, even a bit pithy in the finish. No frills and not really a hop bomb, but its decent.

Chill hazed, amber body supports a tall, offwhite head. Lots of attractive patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrusy grapefruit and grassy hops. Light medium body with ample carbonation. Taste is nicely balanced betweeen the grapefruity hop bitterness and light caramel malt sweetness. Very enjoyable with no apparent flaws.

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma has a lot of tropical fruit in it, with some papaya and mango notes, as well as some biscuit malt. The flavor is more of the same, with the papaya notes balanced out by the toffee malt to keep the bitterness low. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

undated 12 oz bottle served in a pint glass.

Pours a golden-amber. It has a light haze but is clear enough to see rising carbonation bubbles. The head is large, creamy and thick for the style. Plenty of sticky lacing is left on the glass.

Smell: Aromatic, with a surprising amount of bread dough mixed in with the floral/earthy hops and toasted malt. Rather malt forward for an IPA.

T: The taste is rather malty, like the smell, but the spicy/earthy hops come through more.

M: Medium bodied; nicely smooth; slightly dry finish. Excellent for style.

O: A solid IPA coming from a reliable, if rather mainstream, brewer. Hoppiness will not satisfy some hop heads.

(Served in an American Pint Glass)
A- This beer pours a deep orange body that is clear but slightly dense. There is a thick light tan foam on top that is supported by a sea of carbonation.
S- This beer has a green earthy pine flavor with a hint of cologne to the hops and a cream note comes through when it warms.
T- This beer has a soft pale malt note with a bigger green pine hop bite with some good depth to the hops.
M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with a slightly creamy texture.
D- This beer has a good malt support to a good hop flavor with some nice depth.

Pours a slightly-hazy brown-amber with a short white head. Aroma of piney hops and a slight whiff of whiskey. Bitter and clean on the tongue, with just a touch of sweetness at the end. Muted tones of pine, citrus, and caramel malt.

Not overly complex, but enjoyable enough.

A - amber with a thin lacing of white head that has decent retention

S - bread, sugar, caramel

T - burnt toast, bread, sugar, caramel, earthy, spicy, piny

M - medium bodied, smooth, well carbonated

This is a great beer. It has an odd toasted malt character that was unexpected and off putting but on the whole it was delicious. It's well worth checking out.

bottle poured into mug.
A-Golden color with 1 inch head, some lacing.
S-Floral, some banana,caramel and bread
T-Citrus,caramel, malts, light pine
M-Medium body, good carbonation, nice hoppy finish.
O-A easy drinking beer. Not bad at all. Not the best of the style, also has a bit more malt than some other IPAs. Would still get again. Nice S.C. beer.

Fairly standard IPA poured a pale copper with a small head. Notes of faint hops and fruit lingered in the nose. A fairly bitter hoppiness prevailed in the taste department, and was backed up by a light malt character. Mouthfeel was bit too thin and watery for the style. Easy drinking, but missing some of the qualities I look for in a solid IPA.
