amber, bordering on a golden color. A nice sized head of white foam then rose up over the top to take a hold on the glass, reaching a height of around two inches and then settled back down to leave a bare top with minimal lacing. No real side glass presence was noticed, though there was some nice carbonation.
The aroma was rather light, touches of caramel malts, light bready tones and a hint of banana were all that were readily noticeable, not bad really, would have liked a bit more of a pop in it though if I am being honest. The flavor was very nice though. Rich notes of biscuit and bready malts, layered on top of a light fruity spike of flavor. Some nice touches of grain coming through mid palate before dropping back into a smooth, and subtle fee

Appearance: Beautiful golden yellow is served with a creamy white head up top. It looks like a picture perfect stereotypical beer that you see in movies and cartoons and whatnot.
Smell: Grain is about all I can get. Not really a smell at all.
Taste: Biscuit-y malts maybe? The taste is superb as soon as those grains kick in. Goes down extremely smooth.
Mouthfeel: Extremely light body with a great amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: A great example of the style and is incredibly easy to drink. Had this with Thanksgiving dinner at Tir Na Nog (review taken from notes) with the family and was surprised when my mom reached across for another (larger) sip. A great solid brew.

Great brew here. Pours pale straw to golden in color with lively carbonation and a medium fizzy white head. Smell is of light malt and hops, a bit of lemon zest. Very inviting and clean. Taste is excellent. Nice semi-sweet malt with a great hop zip across the tongue. Some good fruit hints come with the sweetness. Also a light bready flavor. Ends somewhat dry. Again, very clean and refreshing with a light mouthfeel. I could enjoy a few more pints of this given the chance.

Appearance: Arrives at the bar with a clear golden color and a nice head that quickly becomes a ringlet but leaves loads of lace despite its small size
Smell: Grainy with tones of fruity pith; hay-like
Taste: Bready opening, folowed by hints of grain by mid-palate; pithy and slightly floral after the swallow
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Drinkability: A decent example of the style but I would prefer a bit more fruit with my pith

This beer was a bright spot among all of the higher-gravity beers sampled recently. As with most Kolsch-style beers, this is quite light in flavor, color, and aroma; giving a mild pilsner malt character, balanced hops, and low on off-flavors. Surprisingly, the deterants with this beer are virtually unnoticed. The malts are clean and crisp. The hops are lightly herbal-minty. A mild green apple flavor sits on the sides of the toung and provides the only fruity notes. Finishes very clean and with hardly an aftertaste. Tough to find a better Kolsch.

Had this on tap at Barley's in late July. Based on
tasting notes
Poured golden with 1/2" of white head, with good head retention & very good lacing
S: Some herbal & lemony hops
T: Lemony hops, & a little breadyness. Nice grainyness as this warms. Finishes with a crisp lemony snap
MF: Medium-bodied with excellent carbonation & balance
Drank too easy, an excellent example of the style!
