Poured up a light brown, almost copper color, with some reddish hues escaping with the light.
No head, minimal lacing.

smells malty with some very faint piney hops notes. I found this to be rather bold in the flavor profile. mlaty with some caramel, hops are medium but the Rye, oh the Rye doth give this one an edge! Finishes with a bit of a medicinal bitterness. the Rye really makes it a bit more aggressive on the palate.

Head is a little strange. The bubbles are massive, like soap bubbles, but it is not off-putting enough for it to effect the beer's quality. Color is an attractive clear, light, amber. It smells like a well-hoped American Pale Ale with bright pine and citrus notes. It tastes quite hoppy-bitter off the bat, followed by the rye spice that warms your throat, like flavors of whiskey.

As a rye fan, the heaping hops seem to crowd the stage. Nonetheless, Rye Hopper is a delicious rye beer which pours some extra spice into the otherwise hidden malt base.

A: poured from a 22 oz bottle into a pint glass, dark amber brownish with a short tan light head that dissipates leaving little lacing, clear

S: spicey pepper from the rye, pine hops

T: nice rye presence without being overpowering, peppery and bready with a crisp hop finish, bitter pine resin at the end

M: thinner with lower carbonation

O: rye is present but not outlandish, balanced well with the hops but neither flavor is powerful

A new brewery for me. Looks good off the pour. It’s kind of a mild rye. Nothing overly abrasive or way out there. Easy drinking and smooth enough. Nice level of spice from rye. Minimal hop abrasive tones. Like I said: easy drinkin’. This could be an every day ale. I wouldn’t mind some more punch out of it, but it’s pretty good as it is.

Thanks urbancaver!

A-transparent amber with white head that sticks around for a while.
S-pleasantly hoppy with a slight bit of rye. Not too much of wither and nicely balanced
T-more rye than hops for a dry crisp finish. Wish it tasted more like it smelled, hence the dip in the ratings
M-medium bodied and crisp and clean finish. Really dry finish as well
D-OK but nothing too special

On tap at Asheville Pizza.
Poured up a light brown, almost copper color, with some reddish hues escaping with the light.
No head, minimal lacing.
Aroma- malty with some very faint piney hops notes.
Mouthfeel- I found this to be rather bold in the flavor profile- mlaty with some caramel, hops are medium but the Rye, oh the Rye doth give this one an edge! me likey! Finishes with a bit of a medicinal bitterness. I'll agree with the previous review this one does not get crazy with the hops but the Rye really makes it a bit more aggressive on the palate. I could session this one but it feels like it might have an ABV of at least 6.5%. Good brew

A: Light brown, lots of fine bubbles distributed evenly throughout the brew, light haze, 2 fingers of light beige head, lava stone like lacing.

S: Citrus, hops, toasted malts.

T: Citrus, white grapefruit, big white grapefruit bitter notes from the middle of the sip well into the long lingering aftertaste. Orange citrus quality, very light sweetness, mostly a dry beer.

M: Medium resinous, thick body, medium carbonation, dry bitter finish.

O: Love rye beers, and I love this one. Drank in Canton, June 21st, 2014. Great look and taste. Got this on sale at Ingles today.
