deep orange amber, great two inch head formed on top and left a ton of lace down the glass once it finally decided to let go.
citrus hops, and a ton of pine. Some sticky sweet notes as well. Very fresh taste, lots of resiny aromas. fresh, sticky, resin hoppy bomb of delight. Such a sticky pine fresh taste, lots of fresh cut grass and orange peel. Some light sugar, but a bomb al the way.uper smooth and very very sticky. A bit thick. Very nice carbonation, could put this down all night long with ease.

brewed as the "official beer of Asheville's Fanaticon festival" - I was in town for completely unrelated events, swear
hopped in the West Coast style, and finished with Simcoe dry hops, brewed with guest-brewer Billy Klingel of Oyster House Brewing
a: served in a standard shaker pint, the beer is a heavily hazed amber in color, sporting a great head with high retention
s: just huge - caramel malts, toasted grain, sappy pine hops, brash citrus rind, some fruity character, some sugar presence but appropriate, good start
m: carbonation and body both around moderate in level, nicely satisfying mouthfeel, smooth
t: a malt body of toasted and caramel grain gives a strong structure - big but not to sweet - to support the quite massive, rough pine hop profile, some pale malts keep things manageable, heavier citrus rind flavors, dries fully to a powerful bitterness
o: just a big ipa all around, the hops are huge on this one, it's certainly unbalanced, but I can appreciate that
draft at Barley's, Asheville
