Very nice atmosphere: huge and roomy, tons of seats, and lots of dark grain wood. Looks fairly new.

Everything was good-to-excellent. I had a beer on cask, and even though I was the first to have it that day, it wasn't freezing cold or anything - perfect cellar temperature.

Service is my one complaint. There was one server, which isn't that bad, as the place wasn't jam-packed. However, service was lackluster and apathetic, if friendly enough. Service wasn't bad or rude; it just could have been much better.

Great, great selection of taps. The website claims 56 taps; I didn't count them, but I can vouch that 40+ seems legit, and every single tap was craft, from around the states and the world. Lagunitas, Maine Beer, Allagash, Brooklyn, Green Flash, St. Bernardus (Christmas), La Trappe, Delirium Noel, Two Roads, New England Brewing, Rodenbach, Stillwater, Ommegang, Goose Island, Victory, Clown Shoes, Oskar Blues, Sixpoint, Stone, Dogfish Head...you get the point.

The variation was nice, too: yeah, they had Laggy IPA, but they'd just had GI BCBS, and currently had GI Illinois IIPA. Other options were similarly varied, from BSDAs and Saisons to IIPAs and stouts. Just a great, great selection.

They also had a local brew exclusively for their restaurant and one other, as well as a cask brew from Thornbridge Brewing, England.

I had a portobello sandwich with fries, both of which were excellent. The food menu wasn't huge, but everything looked good.

The food runs a slight bit pricey for the fair, but it is quite good, and the beer prices were very good. It overall averages out.

I can't vouch for the competition in New Haven, but I can definitely vouch for this spot: swing by, bring some friends, and try some beer that you've never had before. You won't be disappointed. (1,798 characters)

People say Eli Cannon's is the craft beer bar in CT. I think then that it would make Cask the craft beer mecca for CT.

Food is creative and delicious, albeit pricey (hey it's downtown New Haven).

Beer is phe-nom-en-al! So many taps of so much real craft. I always get something new when I go there. Everything rotates. The cask selection is usually OK, never really had anything amazing from it.

Service is attentive and knowledgeable. Crowd can be a bit pretentious at times, due to its proximity to Yale, but I've never had a problem with it. Can be a bit noisy as the night goes on and goes from dinner to bar crowd. (622 characters)

Mediocre bartender with mediocre knowledge. Tap list was better than average but nothing too wild on draft. It is a nice large bar with good bar seating and communal seating. (177 characters)

Really nice wooden bar and great tap selection. Had an order of wings with a couple beers and everything was outstanding. Second round i ordered a Spencer Trappist ale and kicked the keg 3/4 of the way through the fill so got it free and really enjoyed it and the price was right.
Over all the place is well worth the visit and will stop by again when in the area'
My only complaint was that they were having a fruit fly problem , went out for a smoke and came back to find two in my beer. Fished them out and went back to sipping on my beer . (543 characters)

Great place ....good selection and service. Beware of parking meters 30 minute max...they will take your money and not add time...on the plus side was able to park right outside so feeding the meter was manageable. (217 characters)

We have been here 3 times now, each afternoon visits.
Space is well laid out, lighting good, not to loud. I can see that change with 200 people.
Staff is attentive without being overbearing. The menu is well curated, and the beer list is comprehensive.
We each had 2 small plates and 2 drafts, the value to expense is solid. Not inexpensive but well done.
Enjoy a trip to New Haven and check them out.
