Notes/Commercial Description:
Did someone ask for hops? Tired of beers that promise a full lupulin experience, but never deliver more than richly malted bitterness? It’s no secret that this is what we excel at. We’ve been brewing world class IPAs for years. Our flagship is the culmination of a decades worth of studying and brewing. Take a step above and acclimate to what an IPA should be.

Poured from the can into a Dogfish Head IPA glass

A: Crystal clear golden straw with a white thick head! Lots of lacing on this one! Looks great !

S: Really pungent and fresh! Lots of pine, pineapple, green apple, grapefruit, and orange! Smells great! Makes me want to crawl in the can!

T: Super smooth and balanced upfront! Malt and hops dance together perfectly on the tongue with lemon, grapefruit, orange and pine that finishes pretty bitter at the end! Taste is fantastic upfront but the super bitter end is kinda jarring at first but doesn't ruin it and gets better as it warms!

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Sticky and resinous as it goes down! Feels like its sticking to my teeth! Super smooths and coats the mouth in hoppy goodness!

Overall: Fantastic brew ! Would definitely put it up with the big Cali IPAs with its big hoppy flavor! Would definitely trade for it again!

Reviewed from notes.

Pour is a copper-gold haze with a white head.

Smell is huge tropical fruit (guava, papaya, pineapple) with soft pine and dank notes.

Flavor is slightly roasty- not in a malty sense, but the caramelization one gets from grilling pineapple, and a ton of fresh fruits - pine, dank, and slightly grassy.

High carb and medium body.

Very good extra. Thanks guys!

16 oz can into snifter.

A: a slight haze on a very blond body. light in color. bright bubbly head. decent retention and lacing.

S: herbal, piney, mangos. very resinous. inviting.

T: very piney. very, very piney. bitterness is there, but really not overwhelming in the slightest. minor grainy, caramel, toast into the finish. really minor. a slight underlying sweetness throughout the flavor of the drink.

M: good carb. average, certainly not aggressive. body is very hoppy, but slightly lacking in body.

D: this is some tasty shit and not too surprising that it won a gold at GABF. I could drink a lot of these as I find it dangerously session-able.
