Creamy, beige coloured head of small bubbles giving decent head retention. Not bad legs and a tiny bit of lace.
Light brown liquid with fairly strong amber/red tones. Fairly cloudy. I’m guessing chill haze as it was served ice cold.
Sweet and malty smelling. Also nutty smelling. Mild English hops smell.
Light bodied. I thought a little thin for the taste. Moderate carbonation.
It had flavours that I associate with nut browns. Malty, sweet, nutty, caramel. Mild on the hops with little aftertaste. Very faint bitterness lingering on the tongue. It was heaven to have an ale after so many weeks of SE Asian lagers.

This is a brew that became a minor religion for me when I was living in Bangkok between 1999 and 2012. It is a very refreshing beer that works with the hot climate here. It has a strong hoppy bitter taste that lingers in the mouth for quite awhile, and the overall effect of the drink and its color is not unlike a nice ice tea. Packs a good buzz as well, must be at least 6 percent.

The carbonation is just right, a mildly stimulating zing to an otherwise flatish beer.

It is by far the best pub brewed beer in Thailand. There is not much competition and mind you, I am not overly familiar with bitter, and have heard Brits complain about this one, I think it is wonderful beer that many here love. Have it with their cheese and vegetable plate or their other quite excellent snack plates.

It is also a great value at happy hour between a full pint is a mere three bucks! This very good beer at that price makes it one of my favorite drinks in the world!

Muddy brown/red color. Somewhat transparent between the visible particles in the beer. A thin head stays for only a couple of minutes. Zero lacing. Low carbonation.

Smells of biscuity malts, some grass and a faintly note of caramel.

Taste is nutty and salty/astringent. A herbal tone of tea. Aftertaste is biscuity and with tons of sour salmiak and salt.

Mouth-feel is thin and watery. Low carbonation.

I hope there was something wrong with my pour. Will try to make another review.
ABV must be about 4 - 4,5.

The Londoner's pub-brewed English Bitter served in a pub-branded pint glass in Bangkok.

A:
Transparent brown copper color with creamy average head with decent retention, the head leaves with small lacing behind, low carbonation.

S:
Dominating by roasted malt, buttery / creamy note and caramel.

T:
Stand out with roasted malt with mild hop bitterness and hint of charred nuttiness.

M:
The body is light but not too watery with semi-smooth mouthfeel and low carbonation.

O:
Okay this is pretty worthy, easy to drink and could be considered as a good session beer.

The most beautiful beer in Bangkok. Served in one of those honeycomb pattern glasses. It looks like some fine red chestnut or maple furniture I could never afford. Since the beer is served frigid, I wait a few minutes to drink it. Even after 5 minutes the head doesn't fade away.

Smells fresh and hoppy in the nose. The taste is nutty and has little hints of caramel. It feels heavier than what I'm used to. I haven't tasted a bitter style in 6 months so this one hits me in the head like a big pine tree. It grates my mouth! After I recover, I smile and remember that this is what good beer should taste like. Most decent.
