Pours amber in color with lots of carbonation coming up all over the glass and a smooth fluffy off white head that has good retention.
Smell has some good mild spicy phenolic aromas forward with light white pepper and orange peel aromas. Nice toffee like grainy aromas follow with a mild herbal hop presence near the end.
Taste has big toffee like malt flavors forward lighter warm caramel malt and a moderate herbal spicy hop bitterness dominating the mid section. Belgian phenols finish with some good white pepper flavors on the finish.
Mouthfeel is good. Medium to light body, crisp, and moderate carbonation all work to make this refreshing through all the hoppy oils and rich malty flavors.
