This beer has a thin beige head and a dark amber body. Smell is of molasses, chocolate, coffee, malt, and prune. Taste is smooth rich and a tiny bit watery. It isn't too sweet and has a very fine roasted malt flavor. Has a fruity sweet plum flavor with a nice molasses finish.

Appearance: pours a deep mahogany color. almost black. with lots of brown through the edges. a small centimeter or so of a tan head with strong retention and a solid lacing left behind. mostly opaque but with some brightness to it.
Smell: molasses, dark fruits, especially figs and plums. some belgian yeast. slight chocolate.
Taste: opens up with some dark candi sugar coming through as figs and plums. some belgian yeast character comes through. ending is full of sweet and fairly intense molasses.
Mouthfeel: fairly soft and light. molasses twinge near the end.
Overall: a very solid take on a stout. nice and light and soft, with plenty of flavor packed in. great roundness to the taste.
