Pour is dark with raspberry ruby tones where light meets the edges. A scanty tan head rises quickly and falls out into some rim foam.
The nose is light. Slight rye influences are noted as well as the sour smell of the raspberries. A faint waft of the Ecquadorian chocolate dances by quickly and would not be evident without being identified as an ingredient. Very mild.
The taste is interesting. It is surprisingly light as expected from the nosing. Malt is very subdued and raspberries seem sparingly applied which results in a tastefully easy going brew. The muted chocolate notes add a dessert quality to the brew. No cloying aspects or clashing flavor blends.
The body is very thin and the mouthfeel is perhaps not as lip smackingly satisfying as it might have been with some more beef.
Overall, this is an enjoyable brew. It may be a bit less rich and complex than expected, but it is solid.

I got the barrel aged version which was nice.
A: Black as night with no head.
S: Roasty chocolate smell with hints of fruity raspberry.
T: Very nice here. Some chocolate with caramel smokiness and the raspberry really comes through. A very unique blend.
M: A little raspberry sourness which was really fun. The carbonation was perfect.
Overall a very excellent beer. If you ever get a chance try it for sure. It brought a lot of unique flavors not found in other brews.
