Aroma: Hints of coffee, celery and coriander, but all very mild and subtle. Its hard to pull much from sniffing.
Appearance: Solid black, opaque without edge, foamy tan head that lasted with touches of lace.
Flavor: Cold coffee, roasted malt, molasses, celery, but again, all very mild and fairly clean.
Mouthfeel: Medium body and just a touch astringent
Overall Impression: Good roasted flavor, a mild and easy drinking Impy Stout, Im not sure thats what an Impy stout is for .
Big thanks for Rick & Betty for bring back the bottle!

It was nearly black in the glass, but it filtered a little light, it also lacked a bit in smell, with not much scent other than high alcohol. Taste was better than average. High alcohol mixed with strong licorice taste and a slight wine note but did not blend as well as they could. Mouth and drinkability were average. I could see finishing a meal with one of these, but there is better.

Blackened ruby with a nice khaki head. Served in a small snifter. The aroma is alcohol and anise with a good espresso malt. The body is a tad thin, but it has a good warmth going down. Very hoppy. Could use a bit of age on it to meld the flavors a bit. Theres a touch of chocolate in there. Has great potential, but I bought a bottle to cellar for a few months to see how it improves.
