I bought this beer in a 22oz bottle while visiting the Brew Kettle on a recent adventure to Cleveland.

Very nice looking amber. Clean and crispy clear nice amount of white frothy head that leaves a very thick sticky lace with great retention.

Hard to pull anything out on the nose. A hint of butterscotch and toffee, some citrusy underlyings, and rich malt. Some other sweet dried fruit aromas.

This beer is very solid. Not a big, overpowering, massive amber by any means but balance is the key to victory with this brew. A creamy thick medium carbonated mouthfeel lends well with the thick toffee malt. Not much RS but there are hints of Brown Sugar as well as dried fig. The citrusy aspect has faded from the nose but still lingers in the finish.

Overall a very drinkable well balanced brew.

This is a very tasty amber ale. There’s loads of caramel, toasted biscuits and toffee. There’s a slight bit of lemon from the hops that gives this a bit of metallic quality that’s the main drawback. The body is a rich, clear copper, with a thick cream-colored head with excellent staying power. I’m a fan of a well-done malt-centric beer and this qualifies.
