22 oz. bomber bottle with a white homemade label that has a bust of a ringneck looking up to the sky inside a brown triangle. Below the ringneck is the name of the beer and the address of the Brew Kettle. To the far left of the label is the Government warning. Nothing else on the label. The Brew Kettle never dates any of their bottles.

I poured this Wheat Ale into my Erdinger Weizen glass. This Ringneck beer poured a lightly hazy honey amber with a few traces of lemon yellow highlights along the sides. On top of this beer was a self rising 3/4 of an inch pure white head of foam. This head of foam had pretty good retention that left behind a skim of white foam and about 5 spots of white lace.

I thought this "Wheat" beer was going to be wheat based in the aroma, but I quickly found out that aroma was actually more fruity and peppery with juicy fruits and a pinch of black pepper. When it was swirled around, I got a totally different aroma. The aroma was then fruity with banana and mango and a gentle touch of malted wheat. If you do get this beer, please swirl it around because the second half is better than the first half.

The taste started off just like the aroma did, juicy fruits and a pinch of black pepper. But unlike the aroma, the taste after the first half became lightly dry with malted wheat and a splash of dried yeast. There was no banana or mango in the second half of the taste. It's too bad they were isolated to the aroma only. They would had made a nice interesting touch to the taste.

This was a light bodied beer with a dry and peppery aftertaste of black pepper. The only other flavor hiding behind the black pepper was a tiny speck of malted wheat. At least the initial taste was better than the aftertaste. The aftertaste was too peppery for me.

"Cream of What" was a slightly above average Wheat beer. In a nice appearance, an interesting aroma, an average taste, but then it finished with too much black pepper. If it's on tap at the Brew Kettle, I might get it. If it's in a bottle, I would go for something else.

A 22 ounce bomber bottle purchased for under $3. Poured into a shaker glass, the ale appears a clear golden amber color with around an inch of pillowy off white head. The foam settles to a thin ring within seconds. Nose and flavor are of lightly toasted cereal grains, under ripe banana, somewhat spicy, biscuits, pear. Light bodied, but nice, with average carbonation. Given the low price, it's worth a shot if you see it in the cooler at the brew kettle.
