12oz bottle
Served in a pint glass

A - It pour golden amber in color and has an inch of off white head.

S - It is loaded with citrus, mostly grapefruit, and pine. Grapefruit seems to be dominant.

T - The taste is loaded with grapefruit and pine. It starts out with great citrus flavors and finishes with resiny bitterness that lingers in the aftertaste.

M - It is oily smooth.

O - This is a delicious example of a west coast IPA. It has more pine flavors than most of the midwestern IPA's that I have tried. It's one of the better IPA's I've tried in a while.

12oz bottle with no freshness date. Come on Brew Kettle, White Raja is certainly worthy of a bottled on date!

Pours orange in color with nice clarity. The head is off-white in color and initially stood about one finger tall. After about 5 minutes, it's settled to almost nothing. There is some pretty good lacing on the glass though.

The nose is where this beer really shines. Big juicy citrus aroma in your face. Orange, peach, white grape, and grapefruit.

Nice citrus-forward hops up front accompanied by some sweetness as well. The malt body is pretty thin allowing for the hops to shine. Not a whole lot of bitterness, and I'm actually getting a bit of the alcohol. Fruity hops and alcohol linger after the swallow.

Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

An above average Ipa overall.

Morey's Bottom Line: A really nice beer from the Brew Kettle. The nose is elite, the taste is above average. Very close to being a top tier IPA.

Agressive pour leaves a3 finger, bubbly white head on this crystal clear pale gold colored beer.
Hardcore grapefruit citrus, very potent and very good.
Taste is just like the smell, big citrusy grapefruit. Not much of a malt presence here and that is ok.
Starts with a bitter punch in the mouth followed with a bitter punch in the mouth on the finish
I love the aroma and flavor of this beer. Both are very big and very bold. It smells just like it tastes.

Draft to pint. Looks great; not too dark, not too light. Smells great too; fresh hops and citrus. Tastes good; light and hoppy . Mouthfeel is excellent; the easiest drinking 7.1% beer I've ever had. I'd probably have given it a 5, but it's just so different from a normal IPA. Overall, a great beer that I'll be having again - in about 5 minutes when I get up to order another :)

On tap at flipdaddy's burgers and beers

A-transparent golden

S-awesome. (Great grapefruit smell with a little bit of citrus)

T-drink it and find out. Bitches (drinks more like a dipa. Lots of grapefruit. Smooth)

M-wet. (Medium body and smooth. Lingering hop bitterness)

O-too expensive to get plastered on.(very good. But deserving of the hype that is startting to generate? Prolly not)

(What is in the () is mine)

Delivered fresh in a growler from my Cleveland buddy Jason...thanks!

A - Crystal clear yellow with nice head that diminishes quickly leaving clumps off white bubbles and lacing on the glass.

S - citrus hoppy aroma. Not as strong as I would have liked but its about a week in the growler so I can accept that. What is there is spot on for an IPA and it invites you in.

T - Same as the nose but more so. Hop bite is mild but nice. Citrus on the front and easy smooth finish.

M - Perfect carbonation and creaminess mixes with the hops wonderfully. Coats without being cloying and finishes perfect.

O - Had high hopes for this beer and it really delivered. Compared with the heavy hitters in this category it holds itself up VERY well indeed. Maybe too mild on the hop aroma and slightly less so in the taste for some, but this is an IPA not a double. It might not be THE best IPA out there, but it certainly is in the conversation. If you can find it, drink it. Well done.

Wow. This is a beer worthy of an awesome review. I am not sure how fresh it was, but my god, the hop notes were in-your-face. For an American IPA, that has it all. For the style, it really puts many others to shame, including its local rival, the venerable Head Hunter. This is a beer to seek out. I would buy this beer whenever I see it. They need to can this beer and ship it so everyone can enjoy it. Bravo TBK!!!!

Finally got to score a few of these!
Bottle > Pint Glass

A - Pours a nice clear gold with two fingers of fizzy white head, nice tangents of lacing.
S - Really nice white grape, dank grassy pine, grapefruit juice, citrus peel, a little hint of peach.
T - The grapefruit is outta bounds on this one, this is a true west coast style, packed with tons of citrus flavor, lots of dank pine, fresh cut grass, light malt base.
M - Very dry and lingering bitterness, but its rather clean on the palate.
O - This was very good, not as good as some people make it out to be though. A True example of a west coast IPA, reminds me very much Green Flash's West Coast. Up front and in your face.
