Appearance: Golden orange color. Half a finger of head on the pour and present on the edges of the glass while drinking. Heavy sticky lacing left behind at each level. Average amount of active carbonation.

Smell: Tame tropical fruits mix well with some medium bodied pine bitterness and a light caramel body on the front. Citrus picks up more on the body and continues to showcase a very breathable tropical fruit body. Pine grows more toward the back end and rides this brew out.

Taste: Citrus and tropical fruits jump the palate. Grapefruit and pine are potent on the body. The malt brings a very crisp flavor which really allows the bright hop tones to showcase themselves. Lingering bitterness on the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Crisp. Carbonation is very well done and works well with the malt and hop tones.

Overall: Another outstanding midwest, west coast style IPA. Citrus and fruit forward with a solid malt backbone which really allows the hop to shine. Highly recommend this one.

Appearance - Golden in color with a modest white head.

Smell - A mild citrusy aroma was present with an certain Earthiness to back it up.

Taste - At the front, I noted citrus rind, lemon, grass, grapefruit, and grassy resin. For an IPA, this is quite busy and far from one-dimensional. The hops seem to mellow in the aftertaste with mild resiny after.

Mouthfeel - I would suggest this to be a pretty typical IPA in terms of mouthfeel with modest carbonation brushing away the citrus and allowing the resin to linger.

Overall - This is certainly a better than average IPA, particularly for those seeking something more than a hop-bomb.

Pours a brilliant copper with a silky, frothy cream head that lingers.

Grapefruit, pineapple, and pine form the initial aroma, with resin and earthy hops adding complexity. There's a hint of onion accompanying toasted, bready malt.

Hops dominate the flavor profile, with tropical fruit quickly brewing overwhelmed by resin and onion, leading to a lingering, lightly bitter finish. Pineapple and grapefruit pith provide contrast to earthy hops.

Body is moderate, with carbonation a touch on the high side, accentuating the fruity hop character. Alcohol warmth is fairly subtle, but noticeable.

Excellent range of flavoring hops, with just enough bitterness to keep me wanting to drink more.
