Definitely one of the best IPAs I've had. Pours on the deeper golden color side of the ipa range with a half inch of white head. The smell is fantastic, dominated by citrus and hops. Taste is similar and on the sweeter side. Hops are not dominating but a good presence. Overall a must try.

Big thanks to maximumu13 for this bottle. Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a CCB pint glass.
A: Light copper in color, just a little hazy. Even an aggressive pour only gives a ribbon of white head that fades to some stray foam. A few stray bubbles of visible carbonation. Doesn't look promising.
S: Big tropical fruits, melon, pineapple, oranges, grapefruit peel. Below the fruity sweetness is just a touch of bready malt sweetness, but it's hiding in the background. Not a huge amount of aroma but I think an acceptable level - and what's there smells really good.
T: Orange & grapefruit zest, juicy melon, tropical fruit, some pine resin and floral hops. There is only a little cracker malt flavor and sweetness near the swallow, but if you're not actively seeking it would go right by. EDIT: The bready malt character does start to show up more as it warms through the drink. Truly a hop bomb, and yet it lets the hop flavor profiles shine without an excessive amount of bitterness - which lingers in moderation after the swallow.
M: I'm assuming something was wrong with this particular bottle. It's quite flat, distractingly so. Can't be what was intended. Medium body, and alcohol well-hidden. But the lack of carbonation gives it a weird slick mouthfeel.
O: I want to love this beer. I almost love this beer. The flavor is good, and the hop flavors work so nicely together. But the lack of carbonation in this bottle just kills the enjoyment that should be here. I have another bottle, and I hope (!) that the carbonation level is more appropriate. Because I'm nearly convinced this should be an IPA to compete with the best of them. I'll edit the review if the second bottle proves better.

Holy hell this is fantastic. If this were made by Founders or 3 Floyds it would dominate the ISO portion of the trading forum no less than Zombie Dust.
Perfect balance of juicy hops with sweet malt. Smells fantastic and has just the right amount of carbonation.
