Thanks to @WesMantooth for this gem.

Wow, golden swirl erupts into frothy pure white tight foam that tapers back to the most graceful thin layer of tightly packed bubbles launching a floral mélange of tropical fruits, grapefruit and lemon zest that leans toward pineapple.
Taste is very juicy and forward with grapefruit, lemon, mango, and a clear malty clean sweetness that is still part of the mix. This one is similar to a DIPA, really deliscious.
Mouthfeel is juicy.
Finish lets the sweet dance with all of the hop zest. Blissful.
Overall, this is a floral, juicy, and citrusy frolic through happy hoppy fields.

White Rajah is on the light side of amber, showcasing gold more than anything else. A relatively pale complexion by IPA standards, only its highlights display any bronzed tones. Foam is spotty over top but is wrapped around the glass like a scarf on a particularly cold, blustery day.

Named after an English dynastic monarchy from the island of Borneo, it's appropriate the beer should smell so exotic and tropical. All sorts of citrusy fruits could be pointed to specifically, but the sum here is definitely greater than its parts and shares some of the spotlight with notes of pine resin, green tea and almost butterscotch-like malts.

If what I just described sounds appealing, please proceed with this review. If it doesn't then forget it - this beer is not for you (nor is the style for that matter, because this is precisely what to expect). The aroma and the taste might as well be identical twins; they share the exact same flavours. On the palate it's more fruits, pine, herbals, and semi-sweet malt (in that order).

A good IPA should offer plenty of bitter, bold hoppy character without being overbearing. It's a tough balance to find but, if struck, means pure nirvana. White Rajah hits the spot - lots of ripe, sweet, tropical fruitiness, countered by bitter herbals and pungency, and that in turn countered with caramelly, toasty maltiness. Capital 'B' Balance! And alcohol is entirely non-existent.

White Rajah is one of those IPAs that has a reputation that precedes it. This scenario often leads to disappointment as hoppy beers, no matter how good, don't often fare favorably to their inflated internet scores, especially when sampled away from the source. But this one did. It is exceptionally composed and characterful. A note for the old boys at The Brew Kettle: good show!
