Pours lighter in color and less cloudy than expected. Aroma is enticing with sweet orange and coriander. Flavor is spot on. The wheat malt is there, but the orange and coriander come through just fine.

Light, crisp, refreshing, good balance. Very nice Wit.

12 ounce bottle from Ryan011235, poured into a LaChouffe tulip. The first pour resulted in a see-thru straw body with a few lazy streams of carbonation bubbling up. Not much in the way of foam on top; on looks alone, this could've pass for a glass of Natty Light. After I was able to swirl the second half of the bottle, I got a more proper hazy body. (Still no head, though.)

Clean grainy nose that promises a tastier beverage than the Natty Light, but nothing outrageous. Light spicy and orange notes. The flavor kicks things up a notch with a more substantial dose of clove and coriander than I was expecting. Toss in some orange and tangy wheat and you've got yourself a fairly tasty little brew here. A bit on the viscous side; a dose of carbonation might do this beer good. Not bad at all, though. I could see having a glass or 2 of this on a sunny spring afternoon.

Poured into a Delirium snifter on 9/30/12

Clear, pale gold color. Even with a purposeful pour, I wasn't able to get more than and 1/8th inch of bubbles to fizz. The meager head didn't last long, with a collar being the only substantial remnant.

The aroma is tame, but tidy. Airy notes of toasted wheat, coriander, clove and a touch of cotton candy. Decent, but nothing spectacular. The flavor has notions of the orange peel lacking in the aroma. Coriander moves in next, as does a mild peppery note. Wheat is toasty, grainy and dusty. Light fruit esters from the yeast. The feel is light; seems juicy at times. Carbonation is well mannered; probably on the low side for the style.

Overall impression: I'm seldom impressed by comparable beers, but this one holds up pretty well over the course of the glass.

A: The beer is hazy light yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that has very good retention properties and consistently left a thin head covering the surface.
S: There are moderately strong aromas of wheat, lemons and oranges in the nose. The citrusy smell seems to become stronger as the beer warms up.
T: Like the smell, the taste has flavors of wheat along with prominent amounts of lemon and orange citrus in the finish.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is very easy to drink, refreshing and thirst-quenching. It is a very good example of the style. I would have no problem drinking several of these on a hot summer day.

poured from a 12oz. bottle into a standard pint glass.
Pale gold in color, cloudy, with a nice bright white head of foam.
Aroma-Spices, coriander
Taste-Lemon zest, coriander, orange zest. Very light and refreshing, goes down very easily. Sessionable, and a nice match for lighter summer fare.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a hazy straw yellow with a minimal eggshell white head which fades, decent lacing and retention. Great clean aromas here. There's a huge blast of lemon zest along with some thyme and rosemary. Tons of orange aromas as well. Tastes like lemon juice minus the sour bitterness. The spices are there, with corinader leading the way. There's a subtle touch of black pepper. The wheat and oats are present. The flavors are fine, but seem to be dialed down compared to the aromas. It's still very refreshing, especially on a hot day. The carbonation is very present, but not overdone. Very light, clean and crisp.

This witbier is a little better than average. Not bad. It's refreshing and will get the job done on a summer day. This was my first time having Summer Soulstice. I never tried it on-tap or when it was originally released in bombers.

Serving Type - Bottle

Appearance - Classic light golden yellow, minor 1/4 inch white foamy head and minial lacing.

Smell - Spices, lemon, corriander, banana, oranges, wheat, yeast, hops, some earthy aromoa. Some apple and pear also.

Taste - Classic flavor of orange/lemon/corriander starts this off. Hops and yeasts are very mild. Malts and added sugars are mild. Banana and lemon flavors are present in each drink. The finish has some earthy hops and some peppery spices.

Mouthfeel - Light, smooth, good balance. Tounge gets wheats, the fruits and spices, and some sugars. Palate gets more fruits and spices with some pepper at the finish. Afertaste is very light, floral and wheaty.

Overall - Decent, very light and easy to drink. Its not overly flavor heavy or adds anything new to the style. If your a fan of the style give it a shot. Theres better and worse stuff out there.
