Big coconut fan, but I expected more from this beer. Not sure why Brew Kettle decided to bottle it. (99 characters)

As far as milk/sweet stouts are concerned it's on it's game. Not real thick and you don't have to eat this one. Although it reminds me of a mounds bar. One and done for me but I liked it. (187 characters)

Poured into shaker pint

A: very dark in appearance pretty decent creamy off white head good retention on the glass and lacing

S: This beer smells like dark chocolate and roast coffee has a little bit of an oatmeal taste too

T: Very chocolatey with coffee not as sweet as you expect slight off flavor at the end water maybe

M: fairly thin but that's par for the course with a milk stout

O: really liked the tastes on this one for a milk stout it was not bad it was a little thin but overall it was good and not too sweet on the finish. I'd drink this again if I ran across it

Had this on tap at the brewpub and it was so good I lugged a growler back 600 miles to NYC.

64oz Hill Farmstead growler into a Southampton oversize snifter... to really enjoy the aroma.

Pours a 1 finger light coffee head with poor retention. Beer is opaque black and full of carbonation. Lacing is spotty with little cling but decent legs.

Nose is coffee, roasted malt, milk chocolate, lactose, fudge, and mild coconut. Real sweet and rich but at the same time light and refreshing. Very nice.

Opens sweet chocolate, roasted malt, and coca cola. Mild vanilla, lactose, and coconut towards the middle. More lactose and sweet coffee at the end. Nutty finish with some sweet, roasted coconut in the aftertaste. Incredible. I don't think I've had better.

Light bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Bubbly in the mouth but smooths out as it warms and going down. Sticky finish with a lingering aftertaste. Perfect.

One thing to note is that this is mis-categorized as an imperial stout. It clocks in at 4.6% and is just a regular milk stout. Judging from that category, this is the runaway winner in that style. Just an incredible beer with such complexity and flavor and at the same time, such drinkability. Wish I could have this all the time. (1,257 characters)

12 FL. OZ bottle
Served in a snifter

This beer pours black in color. No light travels through when held to the light. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves some lacing.

I really have to get my nose in the glass to pick up much smell. It is not as aromatic as I expected. I pick up on the chocolate more easily than the coconut.

There's the coconut in the taste. It is like drinking a piece of German chocolate cake. The chocolate and coconut have a symbiotic relationship that is unparalleled.

Full, creamy mouthfeel

This is a fine beverage. I am not a huge coconut fan, but I like what is going on here. (630 characters)
