this brew has a great appearance. it is perfectly golden and clear with an extremely well balanced stream of small bubbles. it laces well a very white head. the smell is of some light piny hops. some bready notes are slightly there. the taste is the opposite of the smell, it is has a quick pinch of hops then the bready overtones lay it down and stay. the mouthfeel is slightly chewy for a pilsner. i like it and would like to see it on tap. somewhere. well worth a try.

This is a good-looking pils: clear, bright yellow-gold in color with a creamy pure white head that rises to two fingers in height before slowly fading off and leaving a ring and mixed spots and patches of lacing.
A dusty, earthy yeast element mingles with a crackery dry malt and some lightly sulfuric Saaz hops. The aroma has just as much of a tartness as the flavor and translates as closely to flavor as I've seen in any beer. The only thing in the flavor is a slightly metallic tinge going into the finish that wasn't so present in the smell. There's a pithy element as it goes into the finish, making for a dryer bitterness at the end. Grassiness is there, though not as strongly as in some pilsners. If you're looking for a German pils, this isn't it, but it's a good Czech pils, and that's all it claims to be.
Crisp at the start with just enough smoothness to balance in a light but firm body, it needs the crispness to continue all the way; it almost does, but something fades off just at the end.

Found at 101 Bottles in Kent. Surprised to see there are no reviews for it yet.

Appearance - An extremely poppy, carbonated pilsner. Very heavily carbonated with a four-finger bubbly head that disappears quickly. Watery looking. Very loose lacing.

Smell - Very light on the nose. Light floral notes, and really not much else. Quite weak.

Taste - A very plain pilsner. Not bad by any means, but I was hoping for more out of one of my favorite local breweries. There just isn't much I can say about it. A skunky lager that is slightly bitter with hops. Faint, dry malt at the finish.

Mouthfeel and Drinkability - A dry finish that fits awkwardly into the rest of the taste. A bit skunky, though the beer is freshly brewed. The malt is a bit foul and unbalanced with the hops.

Poured into a Parkbrau Pils glass on 5/15/12

Clear, golden yellow color with a small head - only about 1/3 of an inch of white foam. Not much retention, but there's a little bit of lace.

Bready and lightly toasted grains are balanced by grassy noble hops and a faint juiciness, a la lemon. Aside from a slight metallic notion right after being poured (which goes away shortly), this smells decent enough. The hops are a little more assertive to taste, but are fairly standard issue for an American company brewing a pilsner - moderate kick of lemongrass and such. The malt bill is clean and tastes good; decent amount of light grains. Dusty wheat as it warms. Mild noble hop bitterness lingers. The feel is crisp with a little juiciness around the edges; it's light-bodied overall. Carbonation is right around average for the style; maybe on the low side of average.

Lake Beerie is rather enjoyable. The wheat seems like a nice addition.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy golden amber color with a nice 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt, hop, and yeast notes; with decent strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, floral, grass, light honey, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruits, cracker, bread, floral, grass, light honey, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of hop, malt, and yeast flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a very good pilsner style. Good balance and robustness of flavor; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
