I absolutely fell in love with this place, despite being suspicious when we first pulled up to it. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It's in a slightly industrial-looking strip mall and looks like it'd be really tiny. All that changes when you walk in the door. It keeps a bit of the warehouse-like feeling inside, especially in the back, but it opens up. It is long and narrow, but it's not cramped and there's plenty of room. The bar section takes up about 2/3 of the length. The bar is sizeable, but not huge and there appeared to be about 25 taps. There were 7 Ringneck (the brewpub beers) brews on tap and the rest were guest taps like Stone and Dogfish Head. Excellent selection. In the back, the space gets wider (the must have taken next door's back room) and off in the corner is the brewpub's equipment. The rest of the space is devoted to the brew on premises and homebrew store. They have several very nice steam kettles and bottling machines. I would have loved to have had time to try their stuff out, but I only had a few days in town.
The house beer is excellent; not a bad beer in the bunch. The FOTB Barley Wine was exceptional, as was the Old 21 Imperial IPA. The brewer here is apparently a hop head and it shows in his beers. He also seems to have a way with hops that leaves his American-style hoppy beers with a juiciness that just makes my mouth water. Quite possibly the best brewpub in Ohio.

Brew Kettle is a great place to have a beer. The only problem I have is that the place just isn't that great. It's small and generic and doesn't have a craft brewery feel to it. I would love to see them get out of the strip mall type space and build a nice, rich stand alone. Despite that, Brew Kettle is great. They have an excellent selection of crafts and you can brew your own beer in the back.

This is a great brewery to try. While my only criticism is it's small size (you'll be waiting a while on the weekends to get a table), it's really quite inexpensive given the excellent quality of the beer ($1.50 for a sample of the awesome White Rajah!). It's a casual place, with good (but not outstanding) barbeque, very helpful service, and a wine section where you can hang out (and also sample beers) while waiting for a table. Oh, and even though they have awesome Brew Kettle beers, they also have other great beers just so for those who feel like they need even more. Excellent brewery and restaurant!
