330ml bottle, into a Midnight Sun glass.

Pours a light lemony yellow colour, nice white head with good retention. A little murky or opaque.

Smells of orange and lemon peel as well as a bit like household cleaner citrus. Plenty there to grab you when it comes to intensity. Add a little bit of yoghurt as well, but that is pretty faint.

Tastes like lemon and orange peel, consistent and with some sourness to it. Not overly tart at the end, but still a decent level of sour.

Carbonation is on the higher end of things. I don't think it harms it too much. Consistent sourness throughout also keeps this pretty decent.

Decent attempt, worth buying just to support the brewery having a crack at less common styles.

Pours straw with a fading head.
Aroma include funky brett, lemon, orange blossom and floral perfume.
Wheat, lemon and floral notes present themselves as flavours, along with more funky brett and some acidity.
Carbonation is too high.
Light and refreshing stuff.

Thatnks to danieelol for the bottle. Thought I'd missed the boat on this one.

Vigorous pour yields a one finger bright white head atop a very turbid dirty straw. Recedes slowly to an immovable collar and film.

Nose displays the mild lactic funk consistent with the other two Moondog beers in this 'style', supporting soapy lemon and lime, together with sharp heather/lavender notes.

Pretty tasty, with the lemon/lime citrus sorbet character ramping up nicely. The wheat and yeast imparts a nice clean dryness.

Where this really works is the vibrant and refreshing mouthfeel. Carbonation is very animated, but the creaminess from the wheat and lactic sourness complement it well, and offset any potential harshness.

More good stuff from Moondog. There's nothing crazy about this, it strikes me as a pretty orthodox offering that deserves to be explored further. I'd happily put away a sixer of this at a summer BBQ

Bottle purchased from Slowbeer.

Pours a bright lemony yellow colour, with some moderate hazing and stack of fine carbonation. Head forms, you feel, not because of any weight or residual proteins in the beer, but just because the carbonation is rising faster than it can dissipate on the top. Very light body. Overall, it's a very decent looking Berliner Weiss (-ish thing, as they call it).

Nose is pleasant enough, with a bright citric overtone above a slightly rough, slightly meaty, but rugged wheat basis. Pleasant lacto character doesn't overwhelm, but actually adds some depth to the other characters in the brew. There's a cleanness to it, but also a pleasant roundness, possibly from the German wheat beer yeast, or possibly just from the wheat in the grist. Overall, I'm pretty impressed: it sits together a lot better than the others in the series have.

Taste is also good. There's a clean, direct character running through the palate, giving a sharp, slightly thin, but refreshing bite to the front and mid-palate. On the back, there's a touch of bitterness, but it's a lemon-pith or grapefruit character, rather than being hop-driven. Acidity is mild, but it sneaks up giving a slight tingle on the back and a touch of crushed aspirin. Feel is actually very good—smooth, but frothy from the carbonation: it works nicely with the flavours.

Overall, I'm impressed. Moon Dog have an erratic record with me, and having tried the other two beers in the series, I was not expecting this to be as good as it is. This is a clean, crisp-drinking "Berliner-ish type thing". It doesn't have the acidity of a true BW, but the lemon character works a lot better than the guava or melon did.

This is the third and final in the series and pours a cloudy apple juice hue which leaves a two finger wispy head and a rim of lacing, the smell is nice with aromas of lemons and limes, banannas, orange rind and bready yeast, the mouthfeel is lightbodied and has tastes of tangy orange marmalade, tahitian limes, orange zest, candy and finished with a nice sherbet sourness and overall i like this one the most i think and just wish it wasnt winter as would be an idea summer drop that id drink alot of cheers.

No BB. From Warners. First of Style.

Pours a cloudy straw. One finger fine bubbled head. Looks good. Spotty lace.

Aromas of funk, yeast, lemons, sherbert.

Taste is as above, with a delightful crisp tart finish. The lemony sourness builds as the bottle goes down.

Mouthfeel highly carbonated - works well.

Another good effort from Moon Dog. Released at the wrong time of year tho!!! It's a SUMMER brew....
